So this freeroll has $250 GTD with 2500 chips.

10 cent rebuys for 2500 chips.
20 cent rebuys for 5000 chips.

Rebuys are unlimited, 10 minute levels.

How would you guys play this differently because there is a such cheap rebuy?

this is my first time playing this, and i'm trying this strategy of just shoving good hands is this a bad idea since the rebuy is so cheap. another idea is that just to 10x preflop with decent hands, then bet bet shove. if he has it just rebuy,.

So many people have the same strategy that it makes rebuy tournaments more like craps. This is the reason I don't play them.

in similar tournaments always such strategy of game, everyone pushes, it is better not to play them at all=)

You need to consider how many bullets to do, cause 2-3 bullets and you would need a pretty good cash to offset your buy ins, min cash might only be 10-15 cents

I agree, but I think 500 is still an okay number because not everyone knows to rebuy and is just there for the freeroll.

actually, after my first time playing I realized that alot of people don't even push and don't even rebuy.

There are a couple of things to think of in developing a strategy. What is the min cash? I would definitely not try to be in for so many rebuys that you have to finish above a min cash just to make money. Let's just say a min cash is $.80 I would not be in for more than $.60 or $.70(if you are in for this you are having a terrible day). The reason I would not be in for more than $.60/$.70 because when U at least min cash you actually want to win money. If the min cash is .80 & you are in for .80 in rebuys then why would you play a freeroll & risk not making any money even if you min cash. I once read a tweet by Negreanu who said he was in for so many bullets that he needed to place 5th just to break even. This is EXACTLY what U don't want to do. When U cash(whether it's a min cash or above) you actually want to be making money & not just getting even after all the rebuys you have done.

I would be looser in the beginning of the tourney in the hopes/wants of doubling up quickly. Please note there will be a lot of people playing badly in the beginning of the tourney so don't call 4 all-ins with 8's. You can play loose, just don't play reckless.
