I was just wondering if it was at all possible to make a decent/good living out of multitabling Sit&go's? Would like to hear from all them Sit&go grinders out there and how much your currently making at what level and how many tables you play at one time just to give me an idea of what it takes :) lol

I eight-table $12 turbos and no, it's not enough to live off (though I only play a few hours a day max). Rakeback helps some.

The bigger Sng's like $20 buy in up! If your ITM. I'm starting off small and progressing here. If you know what you're doing & have good tactics then you should do fine.

You can make a very small living from $6.50 turbos, but you need to put in crazy volume. Lots of players make a living or side living from the $16 games upwards. I play part time currently mixing in $6.50's and $16's.

I play anywhere from 15-25 tables at one time, usually get in around 800-1000 games in a month, going at anywhere between 10-20 an hour.

What does it take? Lots of hard work, lots of review away from the tables.

I posted the figures more accurately in the january SNG thread, but just getting enough player points in a year while playing breakeven is like a $92K/yr salary. Seems the volume you'd have to play in these micro stakes for that is just ludicrous though.

I play the $6.5 sng turbos. Like Wizzim said a small living. I play just 6 to 9 at a time and will play anywhere from 400 to 1000/month. I usually am trying to make $500/month. I have a real job so I play poker about 20 to 30 hrs/week. I like playing the sng's b/c it allows me to build my br so I can play in some larger mtt here and there. I cash out 3% of my buy in. Once that number gets to $100 I withdrawal. So, it's hardly anything significant. If a player can play 10hrs/day and beat the $16 or higher games consistently while multi tabling 9 or more than a player may have the chance to make a "living" from that.

Surely, say for example if you are playing the $10 sng's and multiabling 10 table for a whole day so 9-5 (reg working hours), you could make a good living off that? Anyone doing that currently??

I'm guessing by your comments Tom you want to know if you can possibly give up your job and do it?:p

Answer is yes imo you can. If you put in a lot of volume and by volume I'm talking 1000 tournaments a week which is easily possible if you grind out say roughly 150 a day and hit 10% ROI consistently then yeah. Even then though you would only be earning $3000 per month. With bonuses etc that could hit maybe $4000 a month, which is like what £2,500 which is enough to live of per month depending on your expenses in the UK.

Of course that is maintaining a %10 ROI and my bonus estimates might be off.

If you put in even more volvume which could lead to bad results you could play maybe 200-300 per day, roughly 9000 a month but thats sick amount.

I know a grinder who plays lower limits and it is the MTT SnG's and turns over a very nice profit. He plays around 3000-3800 per month $2.10 180 man's and $3.30 Rebuy 180's exclusively and is turning over currently around $10,000 in profit monthly not including bonuses so of course it's possible it's just weather you have the skills to do it and grinding mind to do it everyday of the year.

Last three months he's made around $45,000 just by playing these at high volume which is indeed a very good wage if he can keep it up on a monthly basis. Probarly would be nearing £100,000 a year, a doctors wage playing micro buy-in stakes, how sick is that?lol

I saw you in a poker training video a few days ago (BlueFire - Phil Galfond's site), I believe it was playing a $22. Commentator/narrator/poker coach was commenting on the players on the table & his colour-coding of them. When he got to your's he had nothing but good stuff to say about you. I thought this was kinda cool & not sure if you knew about it.

Just do the math (it's not that hard).
I don't know of anyone who is that are playing on tables of <$16, guys who are mass-multi-tabling 20games.

Is the video public or members only?

There's a "Two Minute Preview" that is free/available for the public to view.

Raizan Azian at the $24's
http://www.bluefirepoker.com/videos/raizen-azian-at-the-24-s/

There's no hands that play out or anything, just briefly going over his colour-coding system & he mouses over your player & touches on description of colour briefly.
I just thought it was cool to see your name there in the vid. after having read a bunch of your posts on here at CC.

That's really cool, thanks :)

Obviously I'm exhibiting awful game selection by sitting with him in the first place though...

Lol of course it is possible to make a living at sngs! I'm not being mean, but lots of guys do it! I'm not there yet, since I have a full load of college classes, but I made approx. 3K over the past 6 months, which was enough to pay for books and have some blow money, and not have to worry about working too much (I have scholarship money too). Ask Grayson Physioc the same question. He makes a 6 digit salary playing purely sngs. There are guys at levels as low as $6.50 that pulled in over 30K last year. If you have the ability and the bankroll, you can definitely do it.

He was actually on about $10.00 STT. Grayson, plays anywhere from $33 upto $1020 SnGs and plays MTTs as well as STT's. I agree though it is very possible, but Grayson is playing far bigger stakes than $10.00 to warrant a good example.

Oh sorry, I didn't realize he was talking specifically about $10 sngs. However, the answer is still yes. Like I said, there are plenty of guys that make enough money (in my opinion) that they can live off of it. I don't know these people personally (just their numbers on sharkscope) so I don't know if they have other sources of income, but $30,000 is definitely enough to live off of in my opinion.

I'd seriously rather flip burgers than play sngs full time.

Then perhaps you should do so. I actually enjoy logging 50+ hours of sngs in a single week. You gotta keep yourself motivated. Personally, I do so with upbeat music, regular thread posting on here, analyzing my play, and an overall optimistic and confident mentality. I'm right smack in the middle of a semester of college, so I'm not playing too much right now, but I look foward to devoting most of my time to sngs from May-August :D
