Say you grind your way, over a lot of hands, time, and make the money in tourney online. Some sites will award you, and before it posts to your account, site asks, "choose black or red, to double your win?" Don't have to chance the win, if you don't want to. Personally, I've only chosen black once, and won(not bragging, just got lucky, on top of tourney luck).

How do others feel about placing ITM in a tourney, then a coin flip?

I am only speaking \king of the con flip scenario at one site online I play at. Other sites may offer the coin flip, I don't know.
Does the amount of the win influence your decision, or do you just let it ride, keep gambling?

Just seeing how risk averse the other contributors are, will be interesting seeing if more or less members like to "let it ride" after a tourney cash.

It's a great way for the site to make money on players. You said it though...after all that hard work and time why would you RISK your winnings in a matter of seconds on a coin flip?

If you are using BRM correctly and have a strong mental mindset it should be easy to simply close the window and move on. However, if you simply don't care, whos stopping you from gambling?! lol

I'm assuming that's ACR you're talking about? I've never seen such a thing at Stars.

Black or red suggests that the odds are a straight 50/50. There's no advantage to choosing either so it's a gamble in the purest sense. I lose often enough when the odds are in my favour (which they usually are) so I'm not about to play 50/50.

True, ACR is site. Cardschat feeebie , I wonder if people who get ITM, would post about the difficulty of Cardschat vs. other freerolls, also, if they got greedy at the end, and went for the "choose red or black" scenario. Today, at first hand, AK, the devil on my shoulder said, "the blinds are so tiny, not much pot odds," I folded and low numbers came on the flop. Had a good streak o luck later, got ITM. But I went against the coin flip, after all that work, not leaving it up to chance.

It's truly not worth the bet. Your time and effort could be lost in a second that a very poor BRM decision

I hate the coin flip at the end of the tournament. I wish they would get rid of it. You work hard to get your money in a tournament and to waste it on a coin flip.

Thanks for the info. I turned the option off as well. One can turn off "observer chat", others things they prefer not to deal with.

Depending on your site, you can turn off, "double your winnings upon table exit", may be called other options at diff sites.
