im in herp 100 usa only ,top 3 paid.
im button and dealt 8s. folded until guy before who raises to 1600( this guy has been raising before flop 1 of 3-4 hands at 6 seater.i call and sb calls. flop is 934 rainbow and they both check, i bet 2k and sb goes all in and the other calls, i fold. next card is an 8. i woulda hit set. sb had q9 and raiser had pocket aces, if i would have checked i still would have won it all ,and had 37k and been chip leader. ( river was nothin)
next time ill check. i think calling is a bad play cause i was beaten at the time by both players lookin for a 2 outer and half my stack in. what is the right play there.

The fold is right depending on stack sizes and the raise is bad as you have already pointed out. Seems fine with the exception of raise.

eh like u said the raise wasnt the best choice, but i cant blame u for making it...its way too common for agro players to check a really strong hand in that position tho, i would have just checked gn ur position to see the turn for free and avoid getting called an dseeing a bad card on the turn

You were right to fold after sb was all in and raiser calling, I dont think the bet after the 2 checks infront of you was bad, you will take the pot down sometimes, and in this case you found out you were behind after you bet.

You folded when your hand was the worst of the 3 hands involved. Sounds like you played it right to me. Your value bet turned into an info bet. The info you got was you were behind and maybe had 2 outs.
