There won't be too quick of a fix, but if you really don't know what you're doing, watching a few of the videos in the thread in my signature should really give you some good tools to work with.
Just make sure you're not folding too many hands in either position, make sure you're not raising 3-4x the button, make sure that you're not playing shove or fold above 8bb stacks (when the smallest stack has less than 8bbs, then you can do shove or fold and just use the nash equilibrium, otherwise, ignore it).
If you watch some videos, you can get an idea of some good calling/3betting hands OOP, and good raising/limping hands on the button. Be aware, they will vary quite a bit based on your opponent, but you can at least get an idea of what is correct a lot of times preflop vs various types of opponents, and how to adjust to common opponents. Don't ignore postflop play either, but I'd start out by focusing mostly on how to get started in the hand the right way, beginning with preflop play.
