What's up guys, I've been playing on 888 poker, I got second on a CC freeroll there last sunday, build a little BR, and now I'm waiting for a withdraw of some of it to deposit in pokerstars .
Anyway, the thing is, I think I'm a good poker player, at least better than some of the guys that play micro there (there's a lot o value playing there, I can't believe my eyes in some plays), but also have some good players, and in the last two days, I played a FT (was chip leader 3 handed by a large amount, and got third), and a semi FT (top 3 chip leaders, and got 16).

In both spots I bleeded my chips out, just because I'm too agressive, and when some one call me down with some random hand (what actually means the played better than me, and I should ajust) I get tilted with this guy (that normally is a good player too) and I'm more agressive, lost more chips, etc...
My point is, I know what I have to do, that some guys just call me when they have it big, and I exploit it very well (they're just afraid to play), but some other guys, that are actually good, call me down with some random second par, or A high, and I get sooooooo tilted, that instead of adjusting, I just go after that guy and I basicly give my chips away ..

Some advice ?? I know what to do, but I just get tilted and don't do it, and when I lose, I look back and want to kill myself after make such bad plays against the call station ..

WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME, I KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO, HOW TO DO IT, I DON'T DO IT FOR SOME RANDOM REASON ..

Dammmn, I'm such a fish sometimes ..

There is nothing wrong with you, because there are truck loads of players just like that. I was one of them and after 10 years of losing, I got serious about learning, and all the advice I received here, I took it to the tables. But just like you, I had a bad tilt problem and I was told here that I had to deal with that or my game would not improve. It took me 6 months to put it in check. Now days, I laugh all of it off, because there is nothing I can do about a passed hand. GL to you

If you play so much agressive, vilains will be much more inclined to catch your bluffs. Its a trend to watch agressive players to gamble just to earn chips as bluffcatcher. As you become more agressive, others and others will try to bleed you out. You should try to avoid to be so agressive. Start to play a little bit more slow on late game, waiting a bit more for broadways to gamble and you will profit or control your tilt issue.

Good luck :)

Sounds like you need to work on maturity. It takes time. gl

Have you tried multi-tabling, you can always be aggressive at one of the tables while you let the others cool off. Try and make it more random. Jesus Ferguson has a degree in game theory and is always randomizing everything he does.

I agree,

Last night I bubble another final table, overbetting the pot all in bluffing, haha, but it was actually a great play looking back, the guy had a runner runner flush, the only hand he would call me, and I never put him on that hand, I looked back every street, and I really like the play ..
That's the thing, I know when I make good plays, and I really don't ever get tilted by bad beats, never, I literally do not care, but when I make bad plays, that's what kills me, when I look back and see that someone owned me, that's what gets me titled after words ..
But is all good, I thing that I just have to focus more when I play, last night I thought I played well, not overly agressive ..
The button line is, I agree that with time and more experience I thing it will change, at least I hope !!!

Thats the thing, I don't think I am ..
I know when I made really bad plays, or when the other guy just played better, and that's what gets me tilted ..

But overall, thanks guys, that's what I like about this forum, everyone is actually helpful .. Tks a lot guys ..

keep playing aggressive is the best and the most profitable one should consider very simple control of hands and pot control

Cool your jets once you get a good chip lead and be more selective with your hands, fold alil more and use your lead to pay more attention to the table trends people you should be exploiting and who you should be avoiding big pots with.

then re-think your game, what are you going to achieve if you go mostly all in and over-raise.....
try to fix it before it's to late.
Start with reading some strategy, like in Strategy section over here, on top of the page...

You need to stop letting emotions have effect on your play, the best poker players are like robots they don't care when they win or loose as long as their play was winning over a large amount of hands.

I'm the same we are all human! But when we feel ourselves getting fustrated just remember the more fustrated you feel the worse your games going to be. Just got to let bad beats go they happen get your hand in good PF then we are playing profitably in the long run.

Don't worry about losing a hand as long as you made the right decision. If you play your hand right, don't worry if you got a bad beat or not. If you played the hand taking the right decision you will profit in the long run and make less mistakes.

I get that. I know how to play well, but can get too aggressive-reckless and lose.

Try reading Positive Poker by Patrica Gardner. It's even available as an audio book. There's an excellent section on learning to recognize and control tilt.

The same situation for me! In such a situation I just left for a time. An hour for example just to chill. And go back with confidence!

You know I have the same problem. I play aggressively. And it seemed to try to play tight, but I can not go all-in when I'm in the hands of a pair of aces or kings. Moreover, 75% I have to be in front, but I was constantly moving. 7 of the 10 tournaments I play, and in the remaining 3 barely in the money coming in. I think the thing is self-control. We need to try to play at least agresive.
