Tommorow i have a 1.1k live tournment.. i havent played live in over a year and this is way above the buy ins i should be playing. So i possibly could be playing scared money.. its a deep stack event and im use to turbos and hypers online. So if you where me, what do you think is the best way to prepare myself within 24 hoours?.. should i practice some deep stacks? should i just relax and not worry about poker? should i meditate? should i go and practice live play at the casino? What would be the best way to get me ready?:eating:

24 hours isn't enough time to do much, I say just relax and not worry about poker, and in the game have patience, don't treat it like a turbo or hyper turbo.

I think you should meditate and visualize yourself in a calm state of mind.

Well, if you play mainly turbos and hypers this probarbly is the best sort of live tournament you could be playing.

You have time to just sit back, relax, get used to live poker again and observe the other players. I wouldn't do anything different, just play your normal game.

One thing to note though is that limping seems to be the trend in live poker so given stacks start of so deep you might want to limp behind in position with a wider amount of hands which have potential.

Oh mate tough one but as people suggested before there is no much time and you should try and relax. Just try to enter the tournament as calm as possible and get those turbos and hyper turbos out of your mind. If you had two - three days I would recommend playing some really slow online poker so you get used to it a bit more.

I might watch a few videos, like Negranus small ball vidoes, or even the cheesy Caro's tells videos. If I could I would play a home game for super low stakes, just to shake the rust off. Mostly, though I would try to stay calm. That's my plan before the wsop circuit comes to Cherokee next week.

I don't think alcohol is a very good idea ..... You must sleep some and concentrate. Be focused.
Tell us how's it going. Good luck.

I don't think there is much you can do in 24h technically, except for make sure you had enough sleep (gonna be a loooong day!) and eat healthy.
It will be your first experience, a start, so just see what you can learn from it for the next live event.

GL!

do regular routine get lots of rest you might be playing a LONG LONG LONG TIME:) Eat well etc... have a clear head and focus take notes early and often to use later AND BELIEVE YOU ARE GOING TO WIN SEE IT ENVISION THAN LIVE IT.

Biggest factor put all self doubt aside believe in self you are there for a reason my friend is an opportunity and your ahead no matter what happens!!

best way to prepare it is to get a very goood night sleep, because learning something useful in less than 24 hours its kind of hard.

I will read few psychology articles (about playing BIG and how not to be afraid of the money etc.). also I will ask for a advice from any poker pro that I could find somehow. Then I will try to rest as much as I can. :)

I'm from Russia, I do not know how you can prepare for one day, as if you did not play takes experience and patience.
