Ok,

So - as usual, I've left my with a problem.

This isn't the standard "Nearly lost my BR" problem.
This is more,

I've staked (Like an idiot) €50.00 in total on step games, knowing these are no good unless you intend on going to the live event. Sure these are good and not a bad investment if you don't go over board, but as normal I can't help myself.

I loved the steps because it's a different sort of a adrenaline compared to standard STT's but I've hazzard a guess that's I've spent around €50.00 on €2.20 euro steps, I've played around 20 of the addictive buggers..

Anyway, to cut a long story short, I left myself with 6 Step B's, 2 Step C's I think it was and ended up with €92.00 (€42.00 profit) which is all good, but obviously not "that" good as you have no alternative but to play more steps.

Anyway, after 3 coolers in 3 Step C (I won some extra Step C's from Step B's) ticket games on the bubble I ended up winning a Step D in another one.

I'm now left with one solitary Step D ticket lol. This means, I've basically still got a profit, but a smaller profit and stuck with a worthless ticket in terms of currency ticket which means my options are as follows:

1: Carry on the step programme (which is the whole idea) Although very unlikely with only one chance of cashing all the way to the live event (next to impossible I'd imagine actually.

2: Alternatively, play in a €82.00 MTT satty. The €500.00 MTT satty runs once a day. It's basically your standard MTT satty, 2000 chips 10 minute rounds so "some" decent poker available.

It pays 1 in 7...so I'm really going to have to run good and I expect a fair few of the players to be quite good at least.

If I managed to cash in the event I can then unregister and get €500.00 tournament dollars.

So, I want people opinions, do I just grim and bear it and carry on going as long as I can in the steps whilst racking up loads of VPP's/FPP's with an unlikely Step G cash of €10k or take a shot where I think I'm more like a 10 to 1 shot as opposed to 7 to 1 shot on getting the €500 tournament dollars due to the players most likely being better. I suppose I might be able to suck some out or run like god etc..but is this worth it?

Would you think the competitiveness is easier in the STT or the MTT?

Opinions please!

Oh well - I've decided to just jump in to a D game purely based on the players in there really seem most are just as bad, if not worse than me upon looking at their rating I don't really see any winners.

Maybe can do something, or I might be owned. We'll see lol.

Most seem quite "scared" to play, even if this goes wrong, at least I had fun and accumulated some vpps! lol.

I find the euro steps are not as good as the $ ones, I went through a period of playing steps early on in the year, I made myself a good few sunday mill entries by hitting the step 4 and bubbled a live event step but won 1k + ish from that game. I dont like that the first three Euro ones are turbo only.

Still running -EV over 536,580 hands with A,K < A,Q...

SIGH...

So, a "try again" ticket...

Most definitely very soft in general, no more difficult than a micro game, in fact most likely easier..

They aren't as good in terms as payouts. Just the intial first step is cheaper :p

I might try the dollar steps because I've noticed when I won a step 2 you can use the ticket for standard MTT's $27.00... not sure if this is the same with all steps.

Yeah, you can play the 27$ ko, step 4 is good for playing 215$ and step 5 will get you into the sunday 500 or some decent sats, I spent a weekend building T$ from 36 man storm sats to use as a steps BR but they dont seem to kick off as much as they used too.

Because step 2 can be used for those knoockout tournaments, does this mean all of the other steps 1-5 be used in other MTT's? I always knew about the step 4 one, but with seeing step 2 being able to be used for a knockout tournament, I wonder if other steps are elgiable for other sized MTT's?

As far as I know from when I played them no, step 2, step 4 and 5 can be used for various games, there was an exception in this years WCOOP for sattilite where a step 3 could have been used.

Steps seem like an awful idea to me. Looks like you could make the money to buy the ticket playing cash tables way before you will win however many steps there are. But idk...JMHO.
