hey guys I have a question. First let me say that I know about ICM , basically, but no deep understanding, because I have found nothing good to read on it yet. And if you have tried to Get HH's on FF you know.it ain't easy. Lol
Here is the situation, 4 players left in a 6-man DON.I'm in 3rd, but we are all real close in chips. I come.in LP For a raise with KJ diamonds.(too loose for a DON?) The bb calls. I flop Oesd, Make a cont bet And he just calls. I turn the K-high straight, with no bigger str or flush possible. I Jam and he calls(im covered by like 100 chips). He turns over 2-pair. My eq calc says that I was a 94% Fav. Was that an acceptable ICM play, or should I have just bet smaller/ check called. Only reason I remember.this hand was because it was the first DON that I didn't cash in on there.Lol Thanks.for the help..Tal

No that is a cooler.. Just bad luck once you make the k high straight you want to get it all in.. He had two pair so roughly a 10% chance to spike full house unfortunately it happens at a very bad time for you!

Thanks guys, I had read a little about dons, and that real nitty was a good way to play them. Well very tag/nitty . I guess I am just doubting a little. The last 3 weeks or so, my 70 &80%'ers haven't been very good. Lol have a good one..Tal

yeah get used to it, quit doubting until you have real evidence to suggest that you are doing something wrong. By real evidence i mean HUD tracker stats or out of game reasearch, when you are in game you want to be fully confidant in what you know in that game.. then once you have finished, be completely the opposite of confidant, question everything and try to get better.

In game if you find spots that worry you or you are completely lost with what to do, make a note of that spot and try to learn about it to improve your knowledge. Just like any SNG but especially DON the goal is to be able to play many, many tables, like 20+ with DON due to there not being a huge amount of decisions to make. so the more you know what to do without thinking in game the more tables you can play.

anyways before i babble anymore, be confidant in your thoughts in game, then when away from the game question things, strive to get better and learn and it will have a snowball effect with your decision making in game.

As played it's just a cooler.

as for folding preflop it depends on all the positions and stack sizes relative to the blinds, the description is not quite enough.
