Hello everyone, aside from my intro... This is my first post. Ok... So I pretty much only play NL Hold Em tournaments. Normally the buy in is anywhere from $45-$65 for the daily tournament. On average 50-60 players participate. I start off 80% of my tournaments on fire. I don't mean just catching cards... I just seem to have the upper hand a majority of the time. Almost like I'm playing my best poker. I'm making good reads, laying tough hands down, and paying attention to everyone as much as I can. My problem is when it gets down to anywhere from 11-13 players left. This is where I'm actually 95% of the time busting out in one of those spots. Most of the time my chip stack is even above average. I don't feel like I'm playing any differently then the first few rounds... Any advice on how to pop my literally final table appearance preventing bubble.

Just maintain your chips on above average level and had to be more cautious as ICM come into play.

here's the problem. you have to play differently from the first rounds, cause you're bubble factor is high. if you want to make to final table you have to play very tight and use the push/fold mode with less than 15bb. it's explained in "Kill everyone" book.

Most likely in the early rounds the average stack is pretty deep...so waiting for big hands is OK. later when you are approaching the final table the average stack is shallow so you can't just wait around for big hands. You have to learn about fold equity and use it against tight opponents.

"average stack" is simply a reference point....it should not have any bearing on your actual strategy. number of Big Blinds and tendencies of players left to act is what should inform your strategy

You have to play extra tight and play position. Understand that lower blinds players like to BS play their hand....but once the blinds are high, they are not as good as bluffing as before. Use position to raise to steal if you feel a weak player on your left. Start shoving instead of 3betting to add pressure when you have a made hand pre. Good luck

Play tight aggressive keep your chips, dnt call and then fold thats waisting of chips. Dnt bluff to much. If youre paying attention to other players then you can see how ppl play and decied how can you play after the bubble.

I think at different stages of tournament play shall be different. from tight early and more aggressive to the prize.

well, if that don't work for you, then change your game later in tourney, that means start betting harder and push lower stacks tougher, and they will surrender their chips to you, if you're push them.
About bubble time, almost everyone play tighter, just to make ITM, but you should/could try to play more aggressively and try to steal more.
And if you play on that level $45-$65 buy in, you should already know that, right.

Hope this help.
Wish you good luck out there.
