Question for you and everyone else.
By not betting the flop, you are telling everyone that you are weak and you learn nothing about your opponent's hand.
If you bet after the flop then you have a chance of pushing your opponent out. However if your opponent raises your bet then you know there is a good chance your opponent has that king beat.
I am not sure where you would have saved money by not betting the flop. If I was the opponent in this situation, I would have raised if there was a check by the OR after flop assuming he did not hit and I would represent a K in my hand. If he raises, I fold. If he calls, then I check the hand down the rest of the way or fold to any pressure.
Please know that I am not arguing with you but trying to understand and learn.
