I don't know what it is, maybe it's changes, maybe just maybe I don't like changes.

For some reason I can't get in to the games at all...I used to be able to play them quite consistently (45,90,180 man) but now I just kind of stick more to playing MTT's which is obviously slowly dwindling my BR but hope I can hit a "biggish" score to make some profit in the near future.

The rake on the micros has got daft though too which is a factor I think, makes me think more before playing them and really winds me up having to cough up 15-20% in rake for a micro game. Not very profitable...

Do I just stick to my MTT's and play some sattys or something? Maybe try some STT's...or maybe even switch to cash full ring grind along with mtt's. What do you think?

I guess for STT's it would depend on the level you are playing at. Some of the micro STT's have some very high rake as well. If you really enjoy MTT's though moving to cash full ring really isn't going to help out your MTT game though. They are two different animals. So I would possibly try STT's depending on your level.

Just my thoughts though.......

You should take a break since the 'tilt' seems to be affecting your psychology.

Try playin' a couple of freerolls with the same intent.

What would you say is the biggest factor keeping you from being able to grind SNGs? Is it a general lack of motivation?

I think it may help to try out other formats and variants of poker. That's how I like to deal with my own mental "slumps". When playing starts to feel like a tedious chore, I try to rekindle my interest in the game by exploring some new aspect of it.

My two favorite variations (at least at the moment) are PLO Cash and 6-max super turbos. They are perhaps as polar opposites as you can get in poker, and involve very different modes of thinking. When one mode bores, I can switch over to the other, which for me helps keep poker from getting stale.

Also, of all the SNGs, I'm most partial to STTs, so I'd never discourage someone from giving them a try. :)

I made the experience that taking a break is very useful. Many FullTilt Pros advice this! It's a big downswing i think, but there are also other times, mate ;-))
Furthermore i recommend to play 9max sng and not the 6max sngs. Playing normal sngs is much safer than playing the turbos.
Sorry for my english, just want the best.

It's not actually wanting to play them, it's the fact they have changed on pokerstars now and the added rake kind of makes me not want too along with all the new blind structures with blind times going up and down I just don't like the new sng's - maybe I will get used to them I dont know but I find MTT's far more interesting now..

Which SNGs on Stars are you playing? The 180 mans have been returned to normal, and the 45s are normal with an extra level I believe

No US players on the tables has changed them as much as the change in blind levels imo. (if not more so)
Wanna get motivated? Play some higher buyins. :)
