Hi all... i realise that this is only a small sample...but im on a downer today and im wondering if there is anything glaring in my stats that you better players can spot..

Bear in mind these are all 6 Ring SnG at $6 so its hardly big time.

hands 433
VPIP - 23%
PFR - 14%
WTSD - 38%
Flop Stats
Cbet - 57%
Ftcbet - 6/8
Flop Aggression - 39%

Obviously, things like - youre crap will not be that helpful....lol

I'm a 6max cash game player so I don't know how well this applies to SNGs but you could try cold-calling less preflop (bring VPIP and PFR closer together) and cbet more, like 75%

vpip should be closer to your pfr

cbet more

but honestly, 433 is not a small sample, its a non sample, you need at least 2k hands to even give the slightest idea of how you play, and that still could be way off

I nearly mentioned sample size, but actually I think 433 can give a good indication of the three stats we mentioned (VPIP, PFR and cbet)

Cheers... i think the VPIP is pretty good considering it includes one bout of Heads Up... but yeah, i should be a little more aggressive, its kinda one of my weaknesses (apart from alcohol and tiredeness)..lol...

Totally understand where you are coming from Karkus, i was more wondering if it was obvious from those stats today, whether id done anything glaringly wrong, but im new to the stats game...so i will bow to your superior knowledge..

PLayed the PKR open last Saturday, VPIP was 13%, got to last 153 out of 2400, was in 53rd place, got AA, got reraised pre flop to half my stack, shoved, got called by A/Q, and the flop was QQ2...tourney over.. but i guess its irrelevant, if i play tight consistently, i should do better in the long run (i hope). :D

No, it's just that many (few) hands are not worth commenting on. Too many other variance factors at work in such a small sample.

i play pretty similar at 6max, my vpip/pfr is around 22/20 cbet is 70 but thats for cash

dont play much 6max sng. but i imagine i would run a little tighter

if you can get 2k hands of 4-6 handed then we would be able to help you further

Like people already said.

Also tourneys are quite different from cash games. So it depends on what stage, in which tourney, against what players and so on.

OP, have you thought about playing in 9 man SNG. playing tighter is going to help you a lot more in these games. In 6max sng, i'd say you'd have to run a vpip/pfr of at least 18-20 to show profit.

Thanks for the replies everyone, and Wizz, do you think the 9 man SnG will suit my tighter play then? Same reason i dont play speed, i cant stand the bingo allin type poker it becomes very quickly, at least with 8 min blinds there's some foreplay, lol...

Play whatever you are comfortable with. But i'd suggest playing the 9 max regular speed games. You are forced to raise a lot more in the 6max, as the blinds go through much quicker.

I don't think you are open-shoving often enough. Post entire tournament histories or something.

Just nowhere near enough info from such a small sample to pass any kind of opinion. Even with 2k hands, its tiny and wont show that much. If you are asking this question playing $6 SnG's, you are playing above your skill level and if that is the case, you can probably say that your bankroll wont sustain you for very long.

If i am asking which question? Asking better players to look at my stats, or asking if Wizz thinks 9 man SnG would suit me better.

As my win and cashing record is pretty good at $6 i think your statement is very assuming...playing above my skill level, just cos i know theres lots of good cash players on here, i can handle the $6 SnG thanks, just never used stats before, which was why i was asking.

PS..in case you think i'm being defensive, perhaps a tad on your comment, but most of the people i come across on $6 SnG have like a 30-50% VPIP and less than 10% PFR so i know i can handle it.

I deffo think you need more hands before you get anywhere near your true percentages.

You could be card dead or getting in good spots with raising hands with such a sample size of 600 hands.

Like 10k would be better
