Is 40BI a good point to start taking shots at the next level up?

Had around $80 in my Stars account and ive worked it up to $120 playing the 1.50s, so im getting closer to $140 which would be 40BI for the 3.50s. Started playing 1.50 hypers 2 days ago and ive played 218 tourneys, probably be 250+ by the end of today so im getting in some decent volume.

56% WR and 9.8 ROI.

Im guessing 3.50s are nearly as easy? Just wanna keep good BRM cos im always way too aggressive with my BR usually.

Thanks guys.

I'd consider anything less than 100bi for anything hyper to be agressive brm, they can be quite swingy and anything <5k sample probably isn't big enough to determine a true winrate.

That said with almost 100bi for the 1.5$ level could probably take like a 10bi shot at 3.5$ games and move back to 1.5$ if you drop the 10bi and just make sure to pad the br even more for the next attempt.

I don't do any grinding on hu especially hypers but am sure like most hyper games 50+bi swings could happen.

Good luck

Ok thanks.

Yeah I read somewhere that said if you hit 40BI for the next level you can take a shot if you want to. If you lose, drop back down, if you win, keep going until you drop below 40BI. I guess they believe if you have 40BI for the next level, you should have decent BRM for the one below. I guess it takes good discipline to keep moving down though.

thats a pretty good roi, but still i think 100 buyins is better, given the crazy volatility of the hypers

and i assume there is plenty of action on stars so why rush it
