Blinds 30/60 - i dont have reads on villain.

Villain 1920 - 32bb

Hero 1080 - 18bb

I have 68s

Villain min raise , i call

Flop: 6-7-J rainbow Pot: 240

I check , Villain bets 150 , Hero???

I would call this with a bigger stack but im confused how i should react with a short stack , is shove profitable here? should i call and check/fold turn? what should i do?

In the first place, I think your call preflop is bad. Thats why you dont know what to do postflop.

On the flop, your pot odds is not bad but your card odds is bad.

preflop is fine if villian minraise opens wide.

flop just check/call and see a turn card. probably going to have to let it go to another barrell. If he barrells often, then put in a small check/raise and fold to further agression

is it ever correct to shove a bottom pair or second pair over a cbet ? what stack size is optimal for this?

why shove? you can get the same result by making a smaller raise, with the addition of folding when he has it.

an optimal stack size is one that can create the desired result, in this case, i'm guessing you would like a fold? so it's kind of a semi-bluff, your stack size is great bc you can raise it small, fold if he gives you action, and still have plenty of BB left over. Keep in mind you are not short stacked here, you both have the same amount of effective BB's, you are both playing 18BB stacks :)

i don't think you can fold suited cards in hu play. if you haven't noticed whether the villain is aggressive post flop, then i think the assumption is that villain has the goods. if villain cbets on the turn, i'd fold and live to fight another day.

Depending on the villian, if he likes to raise often then you should see the sizing which is not very large in this case. You can then see the turn and fold if your hand has not improved. A min raise earlier might also be an indication of him holding a jack so you should be aware.

I prefer to donk bet here and fold to any raise from your opponent. Leading bet will bring you more information and lead to less mistakes.

I think you have enough chips to call, see if he shuts down on the turn. Best case is you can check to down for a cheap showdown, if he double barrels than you can probably fold. This is really where reputation comes into play, especially C-bet percentage. But mentioned earlier, your PF call was probably questionable.
