I know lots of mtt guys think huds are useless. This is for the guys who use them. I've come up with I think a simple but effective hud. It's bet% for the flop turn and river. Call% for the flop turn and river. Bet and call% ipo for flop turn and river. 3 bet. Fold to 3 bet. Vpip/pfr. Checks are not needed since this is simply the difference of 100-(call+bet%). I set a line for each set of stats on each street. So the call, bet, and ipo stats are each a line with 3 segments. 3 bet is under those. And vpip/pfr under 3bet. This may seem excessive. But it's actually easy to use. The idea is that I can keep track of each street. If a player bets 75% of turns and checks the turn, it's a big weakness signal. Especially if his fold to bet is high on the turn. Another advantage is I can use bets instead of c bets. There's a lot more bets in a tourney than c bets. So the stats become useful faster. The idea is to develop specific hand reads for particular situations. I'm going to start playing small ball, and realize the importance of reads for this strategy.

It just takes so many hands to have these stats become useful, and a tournament theres changing stack sizes and ICM which can cause all sorts of anomalous readings in the short term. At best a HUD can be a general guide, but I think using it too directly can be disastrous.

if now someone does not use a HUD then the player loses the winnings, there are those who play without the HUD and plays, plus the fact with HUD profit would be more )))

Agreed about it being a guide. Flop and ranges must be used as well.

I have the PT4 for less than a year and I believe is pretty useful. I don't take every decision relying only on the HUD's numbers but for some plays is beneficial for my play.

For example without a HUD and if you multitable you can't remember how often a player 3bets or fold to 3bets!

There are very useful stats that you can make you have edge on your opponents in the longterm as you already mention!!

Well huds arent useless unless you play many tables, for me VPIP, PF and 3bet is enough, based on it I can basically categorize what kind of opponent I play against, dont really need all of these sophisticated stats when I need to make decision in a split second
