Hi ev1
Finally , I decided to post this question!
I occasionally play some HU SNG and some HU tourney!

I think I did pretty good in microgaming 1.2 and 2.5 level SNG
but when I joined sme HU tourney, it performance very bad!

because of the pay out structure, in HU SNG, I just need to win most of the game!
but in HU tourney, I need to win most of 2 games back to back!

but I checked most of my record looks like most of the game performance, [win lose win, win lose, win lose]something like this.

any advice to change styles, as in HU SNG, I keep a loose and aggressive, should I change to Hyper aggressive , which means play more hands?

thanks

just be aggressive with draws and pocket pair and very tight with high pair or monster cards.
I would also recommend you to play some other sngs or tourneys, as there are quiet a lot of regs on these HU challenges, who will give you losses on a long term run, if you dont have the most experience with them, take notes on the opponents if you meet them again

In the SNGs you will cash more often but win smaller amounts, in the tournaments you will have a higher reward but need to get through more people. The former is the lower variance and vice versa.

In hu sng I'd say play very tight regardless of what you have until you have something and pray villain bets then you make the raise. Throw some bets on some draws but nothing too crazy.

You need to change your style of play, so your opponent won't know what you are doing.

in hu generally you want to be playing alot wider ranges. cause thats the nature of the game.post flop skills come very handy in this game structure.

One thing that is fun to do is watch how they are playing when they are the blind. Then copy it when you are the blind. This always seems to really confuse people.

I actually need advice on "do I need to sacrifice some game ROI to make maxiums size of two game back-to-back win?"

therefore, switch play style to be more aggressive!

Is that a +EV change from HU SNG to HU tourney

It's about being able to quickly adjust to your opponent & learn to exploit their weaknesses & tendancies. In other words > 'it depends'.
