Play it one table at a time. Big tournaments take a lot time and patience to take down, so don't feel like you need to rush and build a big stack. If you get the cards to early on, then do so. Most of the time, you're folding a lot. Play in position in lot, start stealing chips and picking up dead money when you can. Focus on building your stack slowly and steadily until you pick up big hands, then extract as much value as you can from your opponents. As blinds increase and stacks shorten, open your range and play more aggressive. Attack the tight/weaker players. 3 bet more against raises in position. Steal and resteal.

Finally, run good.

Stay tight in the early phase, and start to be aggressive when you reach the middle and especially the late phase of sng or mtts as all the fishs were already gone, in attempts to steal blind and ante in order to survive or double up.

just wondering, because I don't know your fully story, are you bitter about something on CC? I ask because most of the time, when I read you post, you seem to be putting the site or a member down.

Welcome to the forum. The best way to play these tournaments; is to select the hands. For example, big pairs play them aggressively. And sometimes, when you are in late position and has many players involved in the pot, giving you good pre-flop.Faça odds to call with small pairs trying 7value; naipados connectors and in some cases even not naipados .But if the flop is not good know fold. It's good is emotionally stable, while doing any activity that requires the mind.

Patience is your No. 1 skill in an MTT. Try to build your chip stack up slowly in the early going. You are not going to win the tourney if you get a double-up in the first 10 minutes. Pay attention to your chip stack and the average chip stack. Try to keep it relatively close or above the average in the first few hours.

Main thing like others have already stated is patience. Let the allin donks do what they do best donk themselves out. Then you are left with the rest to muddle through.
Hopefully with good decisions and even better cards you will do great!

Many different kinds of players play these micro mtts that have huge fields. One of them is the players that have no respect for money and no respect for poker at the same time. They will go all in pre with any cards just to see if they can get lucky and double up. So during the early stages play only very strong hands and do not open a lot of hands because most of the times you will not be able to know what you are up against. After the first hour of play and when late registration is over and you are a bit deeper you can open more hands and if you are not moved around different tables you will have more info on your opponents too. Play it one table at a time.

this ^

You're only playing the players on your own table at any given time. (perhaps as the tournament gets down to the final 3 or 4 tables, you 'might' want to consider watching the other tables to gain info. on other players.

It doesn't matter how many players are reg'd. in it.

Take it one table at a time. Focus and pick your spots. Getting a big chip stack early is nice, but not needed at all. Large field tournaments are definitely a marathon.

Depends of the tournament structure

For me works better adapting to each tournament structure. Hyper and turbos push and fold with a range of 20%. And regular with a wide range of 70% using position in my favor. That works for me. until now.

From your post, I realized that you have not had to play heads-up. Practice in tournaments for 6 or 9 players. You can play on the sit-and-go in the 2 players. It is useful to you if you will come in the last table. The game is the last table is different from the game during the whole tournament.

As philthy mentioned above play it only one table at a time.
be comfortable with whatever blind structure you’re going to be forced to deal with.. The aggression or lack thereof, by the other players at the table will dictate how you should play. If everyone is trying to get their money in and gamble for a big stack, it would be advantageous for you to play tight and pick your spots. You may be able to accumulate a big stack cheaply this way just by playing better hands than your opponents. In most cases it helps, the main thing is to be patient.

philthy gives a great explanation for big tournaments. Make sure you have the time to play before you start. Folding and patience! Good luck!
