Hello,
Few days ago i played a satellite into FTP site , was something 1.1$+ R for 55$T for a big tournament took place in sunday. It was 10min blinds, few players...so only one ticket for the only one winner!
I played for 30-40 minutes and come into HU with 3:1 stack, in my favour with one good gambler! Before playing with me the head-up match i just saw him like a ""fish". After that , he just start to slowplay everyhand....takes 20-25 seconds to react at EVERY SINGLE HAND, 20 seconds on every street... that becomes verry annoying! After all the second place took home 0$
after more than one hour, we become short same stack ( 7-10bb on each ) and started to push in position ...i remeber that i rmin w A9o and he push me w K5 ....he flopped 2 pairs and i won the bubble place :))

How you can beat this kind players ?

Play more than one table, then you will not get bored waiting when villain makes action..

First off, don't let slow playing get to you. Think of it as a mind game...one that if you get annoyed, you lose...try playing mind games back. Slow play him as well....see if you can annoy him. lol. I know it's hard to just ''not get annoyed'', but that's really what it takes.

There is no set way to play against that.. I get fed up with the slow players, but that is their way.. It just sucks that this is a style.. but it may just be poor connection, but highly unlikely...

When you are the large stack in a HU, slow play actually works to your advantage. The blinds will go up quicker and eat in to more of their stack.

Thanks, guys! Hey horizon12 , u're right! I will try to use my time in other games in the same time. When i was young i used to slow play also, give power on every bluff....but my neurons are getting tired :)

Playing your cards right HU is a coin flip a lot of the time, but I can't say whether the play got to you or the odds, because, clearly, you did something wrong blowing the 3:1... That being said, maybe you could loosen up your value betting as opposed to your standards for a hard push... Can't say exactly, though.

The Way I beat Slowplaying

When I encounter a player like this HU i am very very Agressive. If he limps im raising 10X if he checks I'm betting putting constant unwavering and relentless pressure and im not thinking about it at all. BET BET BET RAISE RAISE SHOVE and thats how you beat a player like that for as slow as he acts you act FAST and decisive. Hope this info helps you.

need to make big raises and avoid call certain range of hands , and on the flop to watch the allowable range and take action in accordance with their hands
