I do not think that AJ Is a strong hand especially for betting. Kicker J and below him never inspire me with confidence to keep them punch at the table.
In addition, there is a strategy of small limits, where, without AJ position, this hand is discarded and not played

AJ is not a very strong hand to play or invest to it. Anyway some of the plays will be a win if you insist to play AJ!

A-J off suit is limp when out of position and a small raise in position
A-J suited you raise max 3-4 big blinds from any position and if you connect to the flop you could continue to bet if not just through it away.
A-J suited could be also in the shoving range if you are short stack but A-J off you just through it away when short

Hello.
It totally depends on your position at the table. In different positions the game will be different. It is also important to understand what format of the tournament you play.

AJ and A10 is a card with which I lost many times overestimating its power !!! now I play with this card very carefully, but I still try to win with this card !!!

Not a very strong hand but when someone calls my raise i assume they have a stronger kicker. I like it suited though :)

Every once in a while you see AJ win by squeezing into a straight. More often than not you see AJ go all-in against AK or AQ or both and make the only pair on the table. It's like most hands - you either hit a good flop or you don't.

be aggressive and if you see that you are losing your hand fold the AJ.

I think playing ace and jack is to play them is play them being suited and try to hit a flush is the best way because i never get straights but if i am playing tight players i will try and bluff with it a lot of i hit nothing but i never will show ace and jack

You have to see how you are playing, the moment and other factors, but I can tell you that AJ is not a strong hand, if with them you can win but you can not always expect to win with them, it's like saying that only by having AA always I will win, when I have AJ I play carefully never bet all in and many times I just fold, but everything depends on the readings I have made, my intuition etc etc

My experience shows that AJo is not the strong hand
AJs better but also not perfect

Small raise preflop
If you catch the flop, so make a bet with middle size
On the tern, you can check and reraise opponents
and if you are sure in yr combination on the river - all in

It s about tournaments
In cash, it s better hand and you can win more money

The weakest of the strong hands , it doesn't have much connectivity , many times you will be underdog by get called by a strong opponent against your cbet. Don't push it in order to extract value by this hand, it would be better to play it with caution. Apparently is a standard open raise from all position but not always a standard call against an all in.

3 bet wise personally I rarely 3bet it , maybe AJs into a lose opener. Hands like KQs , QJs are preferably to 3 bet with and of course don't forget that everything depends on many factors :p

Actually AJ is not very strong hand it can be beaten by many hands.I think you must play aggressive and raise preflop with this hand but if you don't hit anything on the flop don't do silly bets, after the flop just a small bet is fine.

AJ is not a strong hand, but it is playable while being careful with it. You have to read the the players in your game well to know if they have you out kicked.

Another factor to consider is how many players are at the table. AJ 2-4 handed is really strong.

this is just your impression because if you have a sampling of enough hands you will realize that aj wins as much as most hands at the top of the range

AJ is a nice hand, but it's definitely not the strongest if other players have raised pre-flop. If other player is the raiser & you call, play cautiously and be willing to fold. Only way I call a significant raise pre-flop is if the AJ is suited.
