Alright...

We are sitting at a tournament and two guys are happily chatting to each other and winning pots stealing blinds....

It's quite irritating being card dead and not being able to shove or reraise these guys and put them off balance. So my thinking is poker is more than a cards game it's a mental game.

So without the card aspect what subtle or non subtle way would you use to throw these two guys off? Make them upset or cranky??? Just to get them to have negative energy because it was all going their way.

Keep asking for his chip count?

Ask random stupid questions?

Ask if their dating?

Anyways you get the idea, let me know what you would do if you came across this and wanted to upset the balance.

Honestly, I would work on being more patient myself, in a live setting it makes the game better if everyone is having a good time - why would you want to put a target on your back? Not just the two players you are trying to upset but the whole table will observe your behavior. Also, if you feel you can't beat your opponents without resorting to instigating confrontations, that shows some insecurity in your own game. Everyone runs card dead from time to time handle yourself with class people will remember you - handle yourself like a jerk - people will remember you.

Why do you want to scare the fish away? Let them keep yapping and not paying attention and being arrogant. Use an appropriate strategy to counter them. Jam from the blinds. 3 or 4 bet them. Make it tough for them to steal while being as nice as possible :)

lol actually those two were actually quite strong players though I knew how the guy on the left played and I could handle him just fine... I called his AK with my pocket 9s and beat him ez pz...

But this is not the point i'm getting at... it's not about patience it's not about being nice or caring what people think.

This is just adding another piece of weaponry to my game and seeing if anyone out there has anything good to add to answer that question and not answers where people can't say they don't know.

I expect the above players play mainly on the net. Which is fine and i'd expect those answers from them but please :)

Only people answer if you have something good to add. No offense taken you guys above this.

Honestly what you are suggesting is SO against poker ettiquette it is almost ridiculous. This is the kind of behavior one would expect from a child.
Play your cards, if you are card dead then fold, if you are in position and have been playing tight when you make a move even if you don't have cards you have a good shot at stealing the pot. Or wait until you have a a playable hand.
Play poker don't be an asshole at the table. Karma is a bitch.

I think I see what you're looking for and understand you don't mean to be an asshole. I just don't know what else you can do but pick some spots you haven't been to 3 bet and outplay them. As far as talking to them or asking questions I don't think there would be any specific things to say to throw them off. If anything I'd think no one else chiming in would tend to bother one or both of them as they're probably looking to distract or tilt the others as it is.
