Last week i played in the 5.50$ 500gte in the evening time i had a top two stack in tournament. I had about 9200 chips left i was utg2 with pocket 88s the blinds are 75-150 with a 15 ante I opened raise too 450 folds around too the sb who has about 6200 so the player calls. the flop is 6-6-9 the sb checks there is 1050 in the pot so i make it 700 to go the sb decides to re raise me to 2000 i thought about it i a minute and i decide too call the 1300. The turn comes a 10 and the sb decides too go all in for there remaining chips stack of 4200 i tanked it for a will before i folded did i makje the right call? there is more the sb said something very interesting that will come later

I would have folded to the reraise. You could make an arguement for 4bet shoving but never calling unless you are trapping. By calling the 2k you have to know he's probably going all in on the turn since his bet represents 2/3 of his stack. Not many cards are going to come out that 88 is going to like so either reraise or fold the flop depending on player read.

I think that guy just bluffed you with strong ace. I would call that all in. You shoulf re-raise to all in when he re-raise your bet on the flop.

He has a top two stack, why risk 6200 of that with a medicore mid-pair bluff catcher. Also the player he's playing against called a bet from the sb so it doesn't really look like a strong A to me. Looks like we're up against atleast a 9, possibly a straight draw.
Unless of course the guy's a maniac and is re-raising the CL who raised from utg, in which case I'd applaud him and say good bet b/c even 92 beats us here. No shame in losing to a bluff now and then.
