How is this possible?

I've been following a certain player on intertops and I notice he wins tourneys too often, or at least he seems to...don't get me wrong, he plays a pretty mean game, way better player than me, that's for sure, but still, it seems impossible to come in first this often....can someone who understands the stats on sharkscope take a look at this and tell me how he could only have a total roi of 39.6% yet win so many tourneys and also have an outrageously high itm percentage? It seems to me that if the stats on this screenshot are correct, as far as itm rate and 1st places, his roi would have to be around 1,000% or higher....

based on the av entrants of 80.5 these are obv not large field mtt's, he is winning about 15% which is half his ITM amounts. It is difficult from such stats to determine anything really other than he is doing quite well IMO, because maybe he is playing 6$ games and 10$ games, loosing all of the 10$ games and his wins come from the lower buyin that makes up his average.

Without knowing which specific buyins he is winning no calculations could be made other than what is already indicated with the statistics that you see. When talking games with an average of 80 entrants however its very possible that with the skill you could win 15% and cash 30% of the time (obv this guy is doing just that).

Per Timbo it would be very nice to have this profit lol.

Many of his wins are probably HU SNGs or 6-max DONs. Look on the "Favourite Games" tab and see what he plays most often. I'm guessing there's a signicant number of HU SNGs or DONs in there.

Yeah, almost certain there aren't many MTTs in there. Looks like primarily a SNG player, and going by ROI I'd guess DON or HUSNG as already mentioned.

30% ITM is solid but not unusual for a winning SNG player. Without a big MTT bink that artificially inflates ROI, 50% is really only sustainable in DONs or HUSNGs which is why we're assuming that game type. However that ITM and ROI together don't seem to make sense for DONs. In DONs you either double your buyin our get zero, so 30% ITM doesn't match up with 50% ROI over that sample size. So my guess is he's a HUSNG specialist.

Finally his SS rating of 79 indicates solid but not stellar play.
