How to play Zoom tournaments??

I have played many Zoom tournament since started The School Pass Boost from Intellipoker. And on many of them I got really well, I play much better in these kind of tournament than MMTs. So, I started wondering, Why?
I think I don't have to rush because BB is raising fast. So I can see more hands and wait until get good cards to play. When playing normal MMTs, i always play hands that I don't really like because some moments I have 8 to 10 BB and it's starting to get hard to stay alive.
What do you think about this kind of tournaments?

I like it because they are faster, and people only play really big hands. I do not like the final stretch because they can put you to pay blinds more than once while trying to form a table. The secret is this, fold, fold, fold, and only play the monsterhands aggressively.

I don't like zoom personally, however, it is a good game because the gameplay is faster. If you on the big blind you need to play, you can fold the rest of the cards. Some zoom tournaments are easy to play and others are harder. You can't play too aggresive because you can land up at a table with another aggressive player and can lose easily. Don't bluff a lot either. You can bluff more easily in the beginning but try not bluff too much. Those are the lessons i've learnt from zoom.

Never play hyper-turbo / zoom tournaments it's designed for idiots to be against idiots and everyone will go bankrupt if they play these enough.

For me zoom is so fast same as turbo or hyper. I do not know why but it is really hard.

In Zoom tournaments I try to play tight-aggressive. If I'm going to play my hand - only raise. Also I used late position to steal the blinds. Plus the games in zoom tournaments - it is a constant change of opponents. The basic rule that I try to stick to - do not make unnecessary bets.

My strategy is fold quickly and find a good hand to play. Most of the people play it with good hands and less try to make bluff or steal the blinds, of course you can see donks anywhere. Good luck in the tables.

Zoom is quite interesting tournaments. I often have these tournaments. There is an opportunity to choose a good hand

Zoom tournament is good because you can only play with the hand that you want))
And there people mostly only play big cards. So sometimes I like to join a river with small cards))

I like zoom also, because you can take your time in the early stages and wait for good cards.
As in the later stages you can bluff more in position if you have a tight image
And the awesomeness of it is i get to see sssooooo many hands in such little time...

In a zoom tournament you have no information about your opponent to work with. You cannot make any assumptions about other players and you cannot detect betting patterns. You're basically playing blind. So, what to do?

First off, stick to premium hands. You have no reason to muck around with marginal hands because if you use the fast fold button you can basically "fast forward" until you get a good hand to play. Later on when the blinds are higher don't fast fold when you're on the button or SB because often times it gets folded to you and you can steal the blinds with a small raise. Always assume your opponents are honest because you have no reason to believe they are bluffing. Try to avoid bluffing although if it's obvious your opponent is not going to make a play for the pot you might try to take it with a medium size bet.

For me, zoom poker is one of the favorite disciplines, mainly due to the ability to play stronger hands without much time. But as for the zoom tournaments, due to the generally high speed of blinds' growth, the approach to the quality of the hands being handled is significantly reduced, more all-in become and the game acquires a less deliberate character, which is not particularly encouraging.

I built up a good stack, and lost it all on going allin preflop with QQ vs AA.

Now, I've started to think about this situation, and I've started wondering whether it was a bad play from me to go allin. (it was a 5-bet). The chances of him hitting KK or AA is approximately 1%, but it's a zoom tournament, and I don't know how scared I should be of this scenario happening.

Does anyone have any advice?

in zoom should be wait a good hand and little lucky, is nice because is a fast game

I love it because let me improve my game. You can play more hands and more hands make a better player. And with your question is almost the same than a regular tournament about how to play it.

If you get to play well in this format, go ahead,I play,but very rarely I the result is not pretty.

I don't think this is a bad play in a zoom game, depending on how many BB's you had left. Depending on the flop you may have been able to get away from QQ but if you're short stacked and got it all in against AA then it's just one of those those that happens sometimes.

Personally I don't play zoom cash games. Only zoom type of games I play are the tournaments.

And when I play zoom tourneys I usually play with above good cards (read tens and higher pairs or AK) because, well it's zoom.

In the end, zoom is not my favorite kind of poker game I usually like slower games, but if I have to choose a hyper tournament or zoom tournament I would probably choose zoom.

I wasn't short stacked at all. He just had a bit more. I think blinds were around 100/200, and I had 8k. He had like 10k chips. The flop didn't show A or K, so I would have dared to go allin at this point. Probably wouldn't have made much of a difference, but maybe I should wait for the flop more often in those cases.

Just remember that it may be played faster and tighter

Personally, I do not like these tournaments! You do not have time to explore the enemy, and it's very difficult to bluff, I admit in my game this is a very important element! But you can not always play on nuts! Even AA very often move. I still think that the poker game is a measured game, a game where it is important to understand and study the opponent

I like to play a lot when I'm at work in breaks because there are short breaks, and this kind of game is running fast. : D

Zoom tournaments are for some entertainment)) if you like your hand -you play, no- fold

Bluff wisely and remember that people in them play only really good hands (do the same)
