yeh I would limp along and try to hit your set for sure. As hff mentioned, a raise here is only likely to win you the 180 in the middle & if your called you'll be playing a large pot oop against (possibly) multiple opponents who are likely to have overcards to your 8's, which don't play great against their calling ranges post flop. If you hit your set however in a multiway pot, expect to be paid off!! Despite your terrible position.
