Bankroll isn't the problem, I could spend £1000 on satellites into a £300
This wouldn't make sense since you could just buy into the £300 tourney directly.
According to Jennifear:
You can spend whatever amount of money to play satellites, and be 100% br mgmt compliant if:
If you are pro:
- You are beating the game
- If it's a satty to a must play trny, you have 200x the bankroll of the target trny.
- Calculate 2000/(the % of the field that gets seats). That's how many buyins you need in your bankroll to play the satty if the trny is not a must play.
If you are a recreational player that could replace their bankroll if need be:
- You are beating the game
- If it's a satty to a must play trny, you have 100x the bankroll of the target trny.
- Calculate 1000/(the % of the field that gets seats). That's how many buyins you need in your bankroll to play the satty if the trny is not a must play.
^^These are pretty conservative recommendations, but they'll do the job.
