Do you have a limit of how many Rebuys you will do per tourney?
I have seen a few do as much as 5-6, and I'm thinking you really need to go deep in the tourney just to break even if you do that many.
Maybe I'm thinking wrong here, but I generally won't do more than two Rebuys and an add on per tourney.
My bankroll really can't afford any more than that. Btw, I'm talking small buyin tourneys ($1-$5)

I don't like rebuys. Usually don't do it. I prefer waiting to start a new tournament from the begin.

I maybe do one or two max then walk away unless it is a very low buy in satellite. I will always purchase a post break add on though if available.

I rarely rebuy, whenever I've cashed in a tournament it's been without any rebuy against opponents that have probably spent more than the prize in rebuys

This comes from a friend who grinds on pokerstars:
On pokerstars, I would always take a rebuy at the start of the game, if I busted I would take a single rebuy and always an add-on. I don't over-estimate my edge over the field, in the early stages maybe, but once in the middle stages my edge is marginal and I don't want to make the mistake as others thinking I'm way ahead of the playing field.

I played Splash 1.10$ before a long time ago and I made 2-3 rebuys well not worth it...I played also 3,50$ -R sit and go 180 players I used to make an add and I was in the money but rebuy tournaments have bingo players they shove over and over so i will never do more than 2-3 rebuys .

What you're referring to as bingo players, some of them might have made some analysis and know what kind of hand are good in all-in situation (50:50), even against a very strong range. I don't think you understand that re-buy games (Splash) are designed a way so that the strategy changes completely from a freeze-out. The Early stages of playing tight is right, goes out the windows, and its about how quickly can you double, triple-up, basically accumulate a huge stack. It's not just a survival game, its a race to becoming a big stack before the add-on period.

Like i said i have a long to play this tournament ,what i noticed from the tables i played is that they were shoving at middle stage of the game with not that good hands so i guess they didn't mind to make rebuys cause they probably have a better bankroll than mine ...https://www.cardschat.com/forum/poker-rooms-10/splash-tournament-296503/?highlight=splash+tournament

It all depends on how far you went in the tournament. If the beginning of the tournament to make rebuy makes no sense.

I disagree. Even logically, it doesn't makes sense, where would you like to re-buy, i) when the blinds are smaller or ii) when the blinds are larger, compared to the stack?

Will get back to you with a complete analysis on re-buys. I, for one, always hated those games, call it my incompetence to win or call it my reluctance to learn, I just never made any good run with it. That said, you can always see what other players have done and learn. This one's an old video from 2014, when there was way too much value in re-buy tournaments (Look at the score, you'll understand what I mean):

This is an easy question and a hard one to answer, but the easy answer is you rebuy when it makes sense to your tourney equity. Lets say the average stack size is 30,000 and the blinds are 150/300 and the rebuy is for 1500 chips- then its probably not going to be worth it to add more chips. But, if the average chip stack is 3800 and the blinds are 25-50 with 1500 rebuy -then its probably worth it.

As long as I'm getting more than 10bb's if I have a good table to build a stack I usually rebuy as many times as it takes to get a good stack. I think the most has been 10 times but I don't worry about the buy-ins too much because one big score pays for them all.

I play re-buys to get a big stack and make deep finishes though, so if you are using the strategy of trying to spend as little as possible to make a min-cash you probably should do less.

Good luck to you! :D

I don't like to do more than 3 plus add on. I'm playing micro tourneys.

If I play tournaments with rebuys, then I buy up to the last opportunity. Otherwise, I do not see the point of playing such tournaments.

Don't like them. Usually puts you too far back in the chip count anyway.

People get a little crazy with the rebuys if you ask me. I was in a $100 freeroll on BetOnline and this one person kept going all in every hand and doing a double rebuy. This went on and on, so either it was a bot or this person needed to win the tournament to break even. I have seen this in buy in tournaments also. People are rebuying to the point they need to finish top 9 to break even. Makes no sense to me, I guess they just like wasting money. I personally hardly ever rebuy. odds are if I get the bad beat to knock me out I will get another one with my rebuy!! I rarely add on also, if the cards fall right you can come back even if short stacked and win.
