I'm using the Drivehud free trial and I'm learning to use it, but I still do not know how to interpret hud statistics correctly, how do I identify my opponent's style with hud statistics?

I forget what all the acronyms are for the HUD but basically you want to look at preflop raising and folding to a 3 bet. How many hands they are playing and how they play them tight or loose.

Here is a poker hud explanation link check it out.

Hud stats are very useful for identifying players types in the following manner:

If the player has 27 vpip, then he is the kind of player that plays 27% of his hands. If he has 22 PFR, then he raises 22% of the time preflop. If he 3bet% is 5%, then he 3bets 5% of the time. If he cbets 75%, then he cbets 75%.

Simple, right?

What these "attributes" mean in different contexts is a lot more complicated.

Usually the higher the number the looser the play and vice versa:)

there are tons of stats out there which you can incorporte in your play , VPIP , PFR , are just the basic. with these two you can tell if someone is fish. If he has vpip 40 and pfr 0 is the definition of fish. if someone has WTSD[went to showdont] close to 100 , it means that this guy is a showdown lover aka Calling Station.

Other important are 3bet , fold to three bet , attempt to steal , c bet and many others. If you want to become a serious poker player I believe that you sould buy a HUD.Just browse the internet for the meaning and the usage of those numbers.

If he often lifts he means loose, still it is necessary to look attentively behind his cards at opening.

To start with the HUD. Step 1 sample size is everything (how many hands has been dealt while you have been at the table) . To start that would need to be tour first stat to pay attn too.

Second set of stats is VPIP (Voluntarily put money in the pot) and PFR (Pre Flop Raise) . You can pay attention to this stat when you have 500 to 1000 hands tracked on an opponent. The number will look similar to this

23/19 or could be 54/5. Take the two numbers and pay attn to the gap between the first VPIP and PFR. The wider the gap, the more passive they are.

The 54/5 is the dream opponent. Typically the opponent is limping to see a flop cheaply. If the flop hits he will call you down to the river. If he raise FOLD!!!!

The other opponent, the 23/19 he is a sticky opponent. Little tricky. His VPIP and PFR is narrow meaning he is going to play straightforward with some stickiness to him. This is an opponent that will play more straightforward with a pretty good range to play in position. He will play pots to win and you need to pay close attn. He may be bluffing or he may be value betting. He is sticky so it's a gamble to play. This is the stat that are difficult to play against. The higher the VPIP the more wider his range is. The higher the PFR, the more aggressive he is with raises and 3bets and 4bets he will be. Hope that helps. [emoji4]

For the 2 that asked if no one answered Hud = heads up display. Tracks poker stats on opponents and saves for later use. Keep in mind that people dont always play the same way so its not a fix but any information helps.

I havent gotten it down to a science yet myself.......I use very few stat mods while playing and will add more as i go but currently all I watch is Vpip..the most important to me, how often they pay to see flops. Then its very standard, 3 bet before flop, only 3 bets premium hands QQ and higher, total showdown win percentage. Then Post flop, post turn, and river = Folds to bet, calls bet, raises bet on all 3 lines.

I know that leaves a lot of room but it helps a bunch.

That's what I say! What would you trust the statistics Hud need to have enough samples to oppanenta. If users distinguish these small samples - information will not be accurate.
