You need to know what type of players in the hand with you.
What do you put them on ? and do you think your ahead Preflop ?
The guy with 78s has 2 to 1 pot odds
and has put you and the other guy on big cards. hes looking for a good double up or more. small board and hes in.
7 players at the table is not a short table. the table needs to be 6 or less for the K to hold more value preflop.
Having seen the hand he chose to play to a raise on the bubble plays more of an effect on the other players then just him winning with 78s. it tilts others and makes them mad because players are only worried about the money and when they see what they think is weak play it makes them mad .
It was really a good move by him 4 cards out of the top of the deck ( 10 and above) and his cards are open. he hits a pair hes good flush or straight in many different ways compaired to K10 or Q10. he has more outs to make his hand with 5 cards.
He hits now and wins and the other players go on tilt because they are playing good cards and hes playing good poker. Only he can tell you why that was time for that because of his style and how he enterprets what the table is doing and so on .
Not letting things like that hurt your play after you take a hit and regrouping will make your game so much stronger.
Try telling yourself it happened that was that and now its a new hand and now I have to get back them chips . Now how and when can I do this. What has changed and what hasnt from my reads , has any one changed gears, gone from playing to folding and staying out of pots unless a big hand or sb , bb ?
Go from there and keep moving on. What effected you is what the player played and not how and why he played the hand. Understand that and tilt and emotion will be of less of a problem for you.
