what do you think about players that wait to win in a tournment? i ment you are with 20.000 chips, in 100th and pays start in 54, do you wait to the other players to lose or play? i dont like to wait to win...but...maybe is a good strategy...

Would depend on structure, how many players left how many cash and the payout structure. If i can fold my way to the money most time I will try to and will play cautious but play monster hands QQ+.

Once you know the structure you can gauage if you can make it in the money comfortably once you can play cautiously.

With smaller buyin and freerolls which have minimum cashes like under a dollar and the bigger payout on final table I sometimes change strategy and try to gather chips before bubble by applying pressure this is table dependent. This way my goal is not to cash but put myself in a position to make final table. If you notice play is tight before bubble and very loose after bubble so I play aggressive after bubble and then tighten up after bubble.

There's a lot of variables, but most often if I have a solid stack I'll be trying to steal from nitty players whilst still making sure I let the bubble pop. As for if I'm low if the pay out of the bubble is worth waiting for I will but if not I'll add presure to hopefully double up and see me get a solid chance for not just bubble but some more pay gaps by risking not cashing.

the now of the bubble is the time to attack, many will hold the chips to try to stay alive! professionals, at this time double your chips, opening the range of cards, and playing pos-flop!

As Joe said, it depends on how many people are left in the game
I usually wait for the players who are close to dropping out, it's quite understandable when I dropped out whenever I was close to winning money
Again everything depends on how many I have, if I'm short then I go to a good card, but if I have a lot of chips and if I am at the top or middle of those who are in the money, then I throw, because I do not need to take risks and lose my chips to the players who enter Allin, and they are short.;)

My strategy is very simple, if i have more than the average chips i can play more hands near the bubble but if im below average i play tight and try to steal blinds in good spots.

At that point it's best to pick ur spots to make ur move, in a mtt it can move from 100 to 50 very fast , so just pick ur spots carefully and U'll make the cash. So yes waiting for a specific spot to make ur move is vital and this goes hand in hand with other variables such as table image, ur opposition, position etc

Things is a subjective question based on a lot of variables but I'll give you a general answer

-tournament size
-table dynamic
-payout structure
-experience level

Typically in MTT's players who tighten up around the bubble and play solid get ITM a lot and get small/medium cashes and do ALRIGHt

Players who play more aggressively and exploit the tightened ranges occasionally busto before getting ITM but also have way more final tables / scoops in their range of outcomes. That isn't to say you should be playing with reckless abandon but with the correct table dynamic you can easily attack players, you just need to be experienced and able to pick good spots.

Wait until bubble is gone, or you feel sorry for yourself if you play, it happened to me, not funny at all.

I try to be aggressive when the bubble bursts, then I adjust my game to stay with a good stack of chips.

Big stack nearing money: Be a bully, plays lots of hands and aggressively

Decent stack: Same as big.

Medium stack: Play carefully, bubbling sucks.

Small stack: If you can fold your way in it is paramount that you cash.

Short stack: Use tighter than normal shove ranges by a bit, shove looser than normal into small/medium big blinds.

on the bubble, I play more tightly, playing only strong hands against weak opponents. against strong opponents, I fold.

If i don't have the biggest stack on table i still prefer tight stratagy around the bubble. Otherwise i'm trying to put reasonable pressure on other players.

And the game is to get into the money, so pick your spot and play agressive bets but do not call 3 bets and check/raises.
Do not play hands that make your rely on luck i.e. all in.

Today, I flew out with a pocket JJ against aces. Usually I wait when the bubble bursts. Today I wanted to collect chips and here's your fortune.
