All about awareness! Don't get antsy cause that's what makes you go bust-o (or a hero in rare cases! I have no problem waiting out the cards for something good to get my chips involved with. Sometimes I even notice that I am just waiting to shove because it's gettin late and I'm gettin low... I remember back in the day when i first started, I would fold fold fold til i had nothing left... oh the discipline, how i miss it haha.

Play as many tables as you can so that you're never card dead for very long ;)

Have a chat with the other players, we should always keeep it friendly. Besides you can often get some useful info on certain players.

You sometimes need to resort to bluffing. If you act passive your opponents expect you to have a premium hand when u raise so occasionally do that to steal blinds until you pick up some real cards

My thought on going Card Dead while playing online poker tourneys are: Play smaller risk tourneys ,stay away from larger buy in tourneys until the cards start to flop better for you.I can tell when its just not gonna be my day on the tables & I'm gonna have to just grind & hope for the best with my poker information that Iv'e gathered on other players. I think the RNG on the computers run in cycles.Just my opinion.I don't know if any other online players feel the same or

Cards don't matter look for passive players with medium stacks and raise beyond their comfort level.
You have to maintain your stack or blind off.

Poker isn't all about playing your cards. There are lots of other aspects of the game that can allow you to accumulate chips.

It's been said in previous posts, but be patient 1st & foremost. Use your position & take advantage of TP (tight, passive) players. And to be honest, by the way you come across by explaining that you basically just sit there when you don't get any good starting hands, it seems you are a TP.

Try to open up your playing style and be a bit looser.

You can always change up your game to adapt to the situation that comes up.

Good luck man :top:
