You must limit how much time you play for cash or the number of tournaments per day if you play in tournaments. Regardless of the result, you must finish the game. Otherwise, you will go out more often, without money.

The playing time depends on each one, in that they play different factors that alter the capacity of concentration, such as being rested, feeding, being alone or in a noisy environment, and every day is different because our body constantly changes. The great players take great care of their diet and intercalate the physical exercise. And understanding that the normal people can maintain a good and constant concentration for short periods of 45 minutes, we should get used to some mental exercise to play longer times, this especially in tournaments, since in cash we can take some breaks. luck

It's time for me to quit when I get bored and easily distracted. Clues are when I start reading e-mail or put the streaming news on my web-browser.

Signs it's time for me to quit for the day is when I start to lose focus, and decisions become more influenced by emotions.

A few hours of bad beats can easily turn into me playing badly as a consequence if I'm not careful.

If you see that the game is bad, you are bored or just the game does not add up, it is better to get out of the table.

In fact, set a limit on money. For example: you can spend the whole time in the poker client, but 8 out of 10 games are freerolls.

There's no timing tell. Just that, whenever I see/feel like I'm starting to make mistakes, I would like to wrap the session up (i.e. no more registrations).

Side note (Only for ChicoPaw, I was tracking your 180-man stake thread, I didn't want to make a comment there because I wasn't one of your backer and I didn't to put out contradictory thoughts while you're still in a deal). Some pointers for you:
1. You play a lot tighter than you should technically, which results in you being short-stacked or bubbling or min-cashing more often than taking the first few spots.
2. You need to work on your short-stack strategy. There was a hand, I don't remember correctly, but you had A5s and you were still debating whether it was a push-or-fold and then there was a A6 B-v-B where you thought the BB made a wrong call with 43o or 42o.
3. You also need to work on your game progression (Early stages-to-Mid stages transition and Mid Stages-to-Late Stages transition, on top of that the End game, FT and FT bubble).

For me, this is not a problem at all, when there is time and the desire to play I play when I do not play!:sleep::sleep:

Forget that 'days' exist. Whenever you are too tired or busy to play, don't play.

When you can play and want to play, play.

Simple. There is no 'time limit' there is only your emotional endurance limit.

I can stand by Monster energy drink and on the side a hydrating drink like a sprite so that you have real energy and hydration throughout your session.

It feels great to be able to feel the energy back to put in play and a new refresh to think better of your game.

You need to play until you get a good card and you win.

You need to play until you get a good card and you win. As soon as the black bar begins and you start to lose, you need to stop playing, at least until the next day. I repeatedly noticed that if you are incredibly lucky, then it's all up to a certain point, the main thing is not to miss this moment and not lose all the winning chips. Everyone must learn to feel the moment when he needs to stop playing. A lot of factors influence this.

Basically whenever you get on tilt or you feel like you are not at your personal best at that time. Good luck!

what you need to do is set yourself a limit. I have a bank card just for my gambling and will transfer £20 from my other account so that's all I will have for the day. I give my missus my main card to stop temptation. its good to give yourself a safety net incase the losing gets to you and you want to chase the lost money lol.

the other thing is not to gamble to release stress. because all it will do is mentally attach your gambling to stress relief which is not a thing to do.

Outside of the obvious running out of time, I typically stop playing when either I feel like I made an expensive mistake deep in a tournament or I get completely coolered off a massive pot. The thing that frustrates me the most is when I make a +Chip EV call but in doing so commit ICM suicide and end up busting out from it.

I'm just playing session and if you see that often begin to lose all means it is time to end the session.

When I reach a limit, when I feel over-matched, when I feel bored/impatient. Generally, if i'm not having fun...

Pretty much anytime I get to a point where I have something or anything else to do. I have gotten to the point now where I don't even play while watching tv because I don't want to get distracted. I also get away from the table if I lose a certain amount or win a specific amount for the day.
