Hi pals
Recently I am unable to cope the long sessions of online MTTS especially during the night time. I would like to know how can we deal the boring phase during these long MTTS?

Boring phase? Wait, what?!!

As for the question of how to deal with long session:
  • Practice. Keep doing those long sessions day after day.
  • Listen to music, if you have to, to keep your focus & composure.
  • Multi-table, if you're good with one table.
  • Keep yourself hydrated, & eat some food in between.
  • Take breaks, when there's a break. Walk, jump, dance, whatever to keep your blood flowing.
  • If you feel sleepy or down, you can turn to caffeine (Although I would advice against it).

For such long tournaments you have to prepare well to spend 8-10 hours playing poker .... the first thing I do is to play this type of tournaments on days where I do not have to work, nor any commitments to attend any place in later hours because that situation could cause me to have to leave the tournament and generate a lot of stress ... then be well hydrated during the tournament and be as comfortable as possible to avoid fatigue ....

One additional idea might be to connect a scheduled break with some time sitting out at the tables. Noone wants to lose hands but that extended rest can help you in the long run

In tournaments with a very large number of players, the main prize is usually 200-300 times the entry fee, so when playing in such tournaments, in my opinion, do not stick to the tactics of "crawling into prizes." If you play at least 100 times and win once, you will be in a very big plus, so, for example, I try to play as aggressively as possible, in the sense that I'm not afraid to go all-in with equal chances. At least once out of 100 should be lucky and it will be possible to win a big prize. Namely, this goal is pursued by the majority of players participating in poker tournaments.

first thing I do before starting a tournament that lasts is to have rested well and having dinner prepared for a long day of poker ...

True,, i don`t get bored playing poker. It`s exciting to think, the next `Big` hand is right around the corner:D (but then i`m never `bored`) (a wasteful emotion);) I find it more contructive to clean something or improve your life in someway if your bored, their`s always something to do(dishes, laundry, garbage, dust)Improve your surroundings, improve your state of mind,Feel Better! :D

You said this is a recent problem, any thoughts as to why? Have you become bored with the game, have you changed your surroundings, has something key changed that was there before?

How the hell can you be bored? You have up to eight other players on your table to watch and analyse.

Actually I am playing lot of ST games nowadays so when it comes to concentrate on normal games it gives a little bit of laziness but I understand it is just a phase of cycle and I need to love it..

When I feel that I already want to sleep, I begin to pronounce the analysis of maps and distribution in the ear, even when I do not participate in the distribution. Sometimes I turn on the music.
