How to be profitable in Poker

I have over the years tried to be profitable in Poker, but I believe that I have been commenting on flaws, whether in the game in general or in my strategy, I would like to know how we can be profitable when seems that nothing is going as planned

you have to become better plan and simple. study and volume. the people with an edge win over the long haul. just have to put in the work

I also tried to be profitable but till today nothing, i have money from freerolls maid some deposites but nothing, we have something to change in our game!!!

Tournaments are tough. They are high varience, so proper bankroll management is key. Don't play above your means. Be patient and get lucky. Simple enough right?

Study, study and study again. And many, many play.

Yes study and play a lot then u will make profit with tournament games.for me first 2 months without study poker strategy most of the games i lose but after study the strategy and got some basic of playing poker i gain a few hundreds $ now.

Get something like poker stove which helps with your odds

The most important thing is patience and proper management of the bankroll, never give up and believe in yourself

When it seems that nothing happens as planned, do not play

I thing the most important is bank control.

I seriously doubt that anyone will tell another person the skills needed to win. From my information, only a small percentage of players cash out an win in the long term. The house is always the winner.....

winning in poker is 3 headed monster: The first and most important head is bankroll management. Without it can not win. The second head is tilt control - do not tilt play your best game with what left after bad beat. The third head is the pure poker skill - you have to be good at the game. And this 3 headed monster also has a tail called variance, whenever you go the tail allawys follows you. Good luck

Its the thing that has held me back, VOLUME.

Bankroll Management - then learn the game within your bankroll. You can't keep playing if you go bust and you can't play well if the money means too much to you.

Put in the time, study to improve your game and most important practice sound bankroll management.

Hey wilpinsi.i would advice you to make a certain plan of how you are facing poker.Ιn my opinion there are some steps you should follow:1)Choose to be specialized in one format of the game..What do you prefer/enjoy to play mostly?Cash games,Sngs or MTTs?in which of them you think you are better at or you have better potential?Choose one of them and focus all you mental power..
2)Start to study this format even from beginning!!All we think that we are in good level but sometimes we miss even some crusial concepts..For example be sure that you are good knower of basic maths of Poker and then continue to more advanced concepts..Study,Study Study!You should build your knowledge step by step...Feel free to ask questions in forums,post hands of your previous played hands and discuss them,explore and solve your leaks and misunderstandings..Watch coaching videos for your stakes and format you play and see how other profitable players play..There are tones of good videos on internet,i am sure many of them are very educational.
3)Bankroll management:You can understand by your own how important is this so i will not analyse it more..
4)Mental Preparationoker is a game who needs very very strong stomache..Variance is a b**ch and can kill a healthy bankroll easily,even if we play great..So be calm,avoid tilting situations which can destroy days/months of your good playing and give your 100% of your poker skill no matter of short term result..

Track you hand play, sounds hard but it’s not.
Start looking at which hands you lost, examine them until you feel like You know what u did, what u could have done differently. Learn

I take notes when i play and my biggest problem is the menthal game. I am struggling to stay focused for a long period of time. This means that in the later stages of a tournament, where the big money are, I will be playing my B or C game. Really working on this lately. GL all!

Poker is a game off odds, at least the online poker. So if you are not being profitable at a short amount of games change your game plan until you do it.

If you play only freerolls its profitable lol but depends your goal you have on poker and how much you deposit ,study and management of bankroll
