Hey guys i have been playing MTT sng's for a while now with a pretty good ROI% but have not really gotten involved with larger scale MTT tournaments. I have always been interested in them but never really found a way to get a decent hourly rate. For example, if I am 12-tabling the 2.20 180-man turbos for a 10% ROI, I would need to be getting a much much Higher ROI to make a 2.20 MTT worth my while. Any thoughts/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong here) that to achieve a good hourly rate at $2 MTT (and 'good' varies I suppose) you would need to be at least 4 tabling while still maintaining your high ROI. Since $2 MTT tend to have low payouts until the final 5 players, you would need strong cashes in 2 out of 4 to produce a good hourly rate of return.

How do you analyze your game? Are you making mistakes at the final table?

Unfortunately, this is the critical time period. Can't afford to make mistakes then. Or do you lose it while playing too many at once. Are you sacrificing your final tables by focusing on the other tournies? What mistakes are your making? Once you start plugging your leaks, you can either increase the number of tables OR (not AND) go up in stakes.

The KAAHK- I feel like I have good final table and bubble play. I attack the blinds very aggresively around the money bubble and even once I am in the money. Once I have made it deeper in the tourney i still keep playing pretty reckless and try to steal the blinds as much as possible. It would definately say my strategy propels me to either bust out before or early in the money, or to build a large stack and make it very deep in the tournament.

pokerstudent- I can play 12+ tables pretty comfortably. I do not feel that I am making many mistakes late in the game du e to playing too many tables. If i do make a couple of mistakes though, I believe I more than make up for it by putting in as much volume as I do.

if you only have a 10% roi at the $2.20 180s then i would be more worried about improving than your hourly at this stage.

I dunno if this would suit you, Only know it did me. In MTT I droped the number of games I played at same time. Its SO SO FREAKING SO. Important to concentrate on the players at your table. A good Hud can help be nothing is better than paying attention yourself.
You will find you will get far deeper into MTT's heance improve % of bubbles.
Mine almost doubled by droping from 4-5 MTT's to just 3.
