re: Poker & hi quick question?
What is the difference between good players and the best players? Is that what you are asking? I wish I knew for sure, but I'll give you my 2 cents.
I think that the best players lose less with the 2nd best hand. Winning with the best hand is easy and we are all pretty good at extracting with top set, nut flush etc. Minimizing your losses is quite important.
I think that the best players also are masters at avoiding difficult decisions. Sometimes it's easy to "imagine" that they are geniuses at figuring out tough problems in the heat of the moment, but I don't think that's actually it. I think that they manipulate pot sizes to make their decisions easy. I think that they are always 1 or 2 moves ahead of their opponents. They already know what they'll do if you jam. They designed the pot odds
to make the decision for them. they already know what they'll do on certain turns and certain rivers before they hit.
