All opinions welcome,

Normally if you a tight/aggressive strategy you will be successful at the micros. Most players tend to be either LAG or tight passive. Against a LAG opponent, they will give you their chips if you just give them the chance, and you you will normally be able to beat these guys in 4 minutes flat. Don't open the button so much, and trap trap trap, and slowplay your big hands. Against TAP, i would open 100% of the buttons but be careful when he 3 bets because he will likely have a solid hand. If you want more imformation, go to www.tagpoker.co.uk that's where i started to learn heads up strategy. Don't take advice that seriously because im no expert player, but i can certainly hold my own and comfortably profit at the micros.

Solid comfortable profit:
TotalProfitByGamesPlayed

Lifetime: 666-$0.05-$0.05-$36.12-$36.12$6.48$0.0046%309/357

Basically if you don't understand numbers he is loser lifetime (46% win rate at non-hypers) and would be much worse if he hadn't won some shots at higher stakes.

lol, cheeky. :boxing:

i'm no HU expert, but:

- open your button a lot
- 3 bet wider for value
- try and play more pots in position
- call down lighter than normal

basically, normal poker but ranges are 10x wider..

^ this. Obviously you need to open your ranges and be aggressive, particularly when you have the button. But in general, my experience has been that there is no single generic strategy for beating HU SnGs because what you should be doing is adjusting to the mistakes your opponents are making. Some of them will be loose-passive, some of them will fold too much, some of them will be way too aggressive.

Ironically that is not my username at any poker site so do please take my advice to heart to a slight degree as it was given to me by expert players. Although, i did see somebody with that name playing at stars and thought it was pretty awesome so i decided to steal it. TAG strategy is great to use at micro heads up because most players there cant exploit it because most arent thinking players who play their cards other than the player. However, be careful though when you come up against someone who can exploit it like me.
