Aggressive poker most often works in HU. Are you talking about HU games or adjusting your style in a tourney or SNG after getting to HU? Key thought to remember, most hands miss the flop most of the time in HU.

Generally aggression is key. You miss the flop a lot, a pair is usually good even bottom pair. SB has position post flop so raise most hands from SB - any pocket pair, any ace, suited and unsuited connectors any two broadway.
Massive part of the game is adjustments to your opponent play not everyone plays the same. If opponent is passive play aggressive and try and blow them off hands, if opponent is aggressive use that aggression to get value and call very wide.

In heads-up no-limit hold'em, aggression and position are Important and you should be raising from the button with a very wide range of hands. Your aim is not just to put maximum pressure on your opponent and build pots, it's also to develop the opportunity to put him to tough decisions later in the hand.

Out of position, you will need to play much more , defending only with hands that you can play with confidence, like pairs, suited connectors, Broadway cards, and high or suited aces.

You also need to balance your ranges and attempt to seize back the momentum in a hand by re-raising frequently against a player opening a lot of hands from the button.

Against aggressive players who re-raise frequently, you will need to combat this through a mixture of four-betting with marginal hands, calling with big hands to trap and calling with more speculative hands. You should also be prepared to go broke with a decent top-pair type hand, a big draw or even just a big bluff

Aggressive line is the key. Also, you need to study push fold charts in order to understand the dynamics of your hands.

I think first thing that you need to do is to get your opponent style, then is easier.

playing heads up is tricky. sometimes you have to show and make your opponent understand that your a bluffer so that your opponent calls every hands you play and when you have a confirm hand you will get the payoff. ;)

Hell I have found that playing any two cards can be worth it when heads up, atleast to the flop.. and face cards are amazing .. Ace - Jack high can win a lot of hands you would be surprised. It is just hard going all the way to the river with nothing if it gets expensive. But hey if you are happy with 2nd place prize... just get it in!

Identifying how your opponent is playing and adjusting accordingly as in all poker it's situational, you need to be able to switch gears.

Heads-up is the moment when only two players remain at the table until the end of the tournament or the best hand in a game between them. This situation is often full of excitement, as players tend to be more aggressive. The bluffs do not lack, and it's nice to see a good heads-up from time to time, incidentally most or all of the tournaments are decided after a heads-up. But even if your hand is good the ideal is to avoid the showdown. An experienced opponent with a reasonable hand will not fold easily.

Aggression is the best here, though I'm not really that aggressive once I took the tournament and earned $ 64, I'm not a fan of HU i rarely play them, but when you gather all of them and I'll have to go to play

When you are in heads-up there is only one big mistake to make and that is really devastating: Play very safe.

Of course there are several mistakes that can be made but playing a few hands, very cautious is the worst of them. On a full table, a player will usually win 11% of the hands, in heads-up that number rises to 50%!

For this to happen you must play more than 50% of your hands. A player who gets much less involved than this is already one step away from defeat. So do not do it! Throw several hands and play aggressively after the flop if you hit something.

So that's it, GL on the tables !!!
