We must learn to fold at the poker table, but it is not easy to give up pre-flop hands.

Example: I'm in UTG3 position, with pair of seven, the initial position SUZY goes allin, what would you do, Call or Fold?

it depends on the opponents, if the table is aggressive then fold, if not, then call. If you raise the bet very high, then also fold. I will try to see the flop and not pay much.

We are at the beginning of a tournament, starting position, a lot of players to give Call, I think we should be careful with pairs of medium strength.

that is easy fold. UTG is pushing 24bb, lets imagine he is pushing 88+, AJ+, KQ which is a stretch, even in this scenario you are in very bad shape against his range. Basically, you almost never will dominate his hand, but a lot of time will be dominated 80/20. I would start to think about calling with TT, and even with TT I am inclined towards fold, because of how many players are left behind.

If this is a freeroll, then unless you know the player is tight you can usually call with decent hands and end up winning, otherwise I would also fold and live to see another hand lol.

You have ~50 BBs in early position. Villian has ~20 BBs UTG. Unless she is super loose, you are break even at best with the whole table left to act. Would you push if Villian had folded?

I won't. So why effectively push now?

Fold, no doubt, starting position, I will never give Call in that circumstance.

BiG 2,20 in PS...

BB 800/1600

UTG +1 raise to 3600
CO call
Hero: KK (stack 40.000) = 3bet in allin
BB: call
fold
fold

KK x 99

Unfortunately the villain hit a 4 of a kind (nines) on the turn ...
But in the long run, was my shove profitable? or would a smaller 3 bet be better?

unless I am the one who raised first with AA and get re-raised, I don't go all-in beginning stages of tournament. too many cards out there trying to grab a piece of the board. don't like calling all-ins, prefer to be the aggressor. and, of course, aces don't mean squat till the river is down.

a very dangerous pair to raise much less go all in preflop, you could just see the flop and see what happens and there you make your decisions

It is important how he played this aggressively or not. On this stack in principle you can ring, but very small. I would passon

If this is the beginning of the game, then I would throw it out, given the position.

Because being a tournament start would avoid these types of hands, sometimes it is not worth to qualify the tournament.
