Blinds 1500/3000/500

Hero is bb, folds to sb, limps. Hero raises 4x with ajd thinking sb is weak. Flop qd, 4d, 10s. Sb checks, hero bets 12k

Villan gai with about 40k. Hero has 50k

Due to the cr, hero is certain villain has flopped a set

Even though hero knows he's behind is this a call for the flush?

should have checked the flop, take the free draw to straight or flush. those stack sizes some1 is shoving. and for u to call for 15 outs n miss your stuck with 3 bb's

I would of checked the flop like wild yetti said, but since you added another 12 000 by betting, you are almost priced in to call and hope for the flush.

Checking the flop was my immediate post hand thought. But this guy limos a lot (he had pocket 10) and another reason for a bet is it's harder to semi bluff with just one card to come

I thing You made too big bet preflop
And as others said. Check on the flop. You had too small stack and when oponent make 3bet all-in you will be forced to call it

Would usually agree, but this is a short stack tourney, so average on the table was about 40k and everyone had similar stacks

Yep i think the mainly mistake here is you think your opponent for weak, you can never know what cards he have, so be careful every time never mind of bb or sb.

U need to exercise pot control, he gave you free card and you tried semi bluff but had him on a set? that confuses me... take the free card and don't inflate the pot til u hit your straight or flush. easier to fold in the end

Obviously only put him on a set after his CR

here you need to look at the odds . and the pot odds you say that both do not want to go but you have to reset the Ollin .

here you need to look at the odds . and the pot odds you say that both do not want to go but you have to reset the Ollin .

After your raise, you'll need to call another 28k for a chance to win the 63k in the pot. If he has pocket 4's you'll be about 33℅ to win so you are slightly +EV. Of course he could have limped with QT, in which case you are about 42℅ so you have a good +EV.

Some people are saying your pre-flop raise was too high and your flop bet was too high, but you are probably best pre-flop and you flop a great hand with a nut flush draw, an over card, and a gut shot straight draw when you only have about 13BB effective stacks. What more could you want? You are way ahead of a lot of draws that he might jam with and you are ahead of one pair hands.

I think it'd be pretty weak to check pre or give up the lead after the flop. You are never crushed here and you can get good value from a lot of hands that he could check/jam here (like J9 and worse flush draws).

Totally agree with el Jefe here. Bet on the flop is fine, happy to get it in here. How do we know villan has a set anyway?

First check raise of the night. Shoving pre his AA and KK. Got a bit of needling about missing value so decides to play this one properly.

And he showed 10-10, flopped a set
