I'm going to move my whole bankroll from partypoker to pokerstars.
My current bankroll is £102.

I cant make a profit out sngs and i havent got a hud so multitabling cash games will be impossible to make a profit. I'm going to start grinding MTTs on pokerstars as partypoker has like no tourneys running.

What is the best way to start? I have played some MTTs before and done quite well in some, finishing 5th out of a couple of hundred in a freeroll, and 11th out of about 1000 in a $5 buy in event, but i never regularly play them, but im going to start now.

What games and what level should i start playing? I definitely need some bankroll management help because i dont know how in MTTs

Also, how do you multi table effectively, how many tables do you play, and is on pokerstars are there enough games so that you can actually grind MTTs??

Thanks

Hi...
You need to start slowly, first the field of pokerstars it's huge so in tournaments the variance will be larger.... You need to apply some things for example the buy in, i use the rule of 100.... Only play tournaments if i have 100 buy ins, because the pokerstars in lower tournaments have a lot of bad players... I start my career with freerolls like 100k privellege, some satelites.... and play a lot of sit and go, small fields lesse variance, more easier to win, then i move up for tournaments after i qualify for 5 fpps for a sunday storm is such a big tournaments and I win like 36$... then i start torunaments like 50 cent, 1$, and i do some final table in 1,10$ 10 minutes blinds.... The managment of bankroll its very importante specially in lower tournaments in pokerstars a lot of people is a bad player..

Just play 1$ tournaments and lower, you need minimum 100 buy ins. Variance can kill you.

Agree, should start at the buttom and slowly go up the ladder.

MTT is a long term thing and needs much bankroll because for the reason that you will not enter the money all the time.

100 buy-ins with no more than 1000 players is comfortable for start run MTT`S.

Yes, use the rule of 100 buy-ins for MTT,but don't forget that more people participate into the tournament -> less chanches for winning for you. So if you will participate into the big one tournaments it's better to have 150 / 200 and more tournament buy-ins,also if you are going to play rebuy tournaments then you need to have 200-300 buy-ins bankroll (depends on how much rebuys and addons you will take)

In Pokerstars there are U$ 1,10 tournaments that have about 1.000 players. The first 15% are cashed. So, there are good opportunities you profit in those tables, if you have a good game.

You can also wait for the micromillions on pokerstars. The field is huge considering the entry fee for the prize money

Hello there.
If you plan grinding MTT - it is a good idea to start with PokerStars.
They have the biggest choice of MTT at the market.
But fields are big (>1000) so it is harder to beat.
My recomendations for you:
1. Bankroll managments 150-200 buyins for MTT. OBEY IT or lose. 100% info.
2. Get HM2 or PT4 - besides stats for opps, you need to analise your play, some hands and so on.
3. Play 0.11$ 0.27$ 0.55$ turbo MTT at PS not higher. you can try some regular speed 1.1$ but i think you need bigger bankroll to grind them.
4. I would add some MTSNG like 0.1$ turbo 360max, 90max.
5. About multitabling - play max 4 tables at the begining. as you feel comfy - ad more. But you will have better results with less tables running, paying more attention to every hand you play.
6. dont forget about freerols at PS. if you deposit >10$ with code 100K - you get freeroll ticket for 1 month for 1kguarantee freerolls that happen 4 times a day. This is a good offer. Also check some bonuses at PS. also you should check pokerstarter.org - bind your PS account to this site and complete some tests - they give you free mttt tickets (like 3x1.1$)

hope this was helpfull
good luck
