:( hey yall,

i played a little heads up and i did this three barrel bluff which is very unique for me :). my opponent was a very loose passive player who does call 1 bet but often folds to the second bullet. i just had a gut feeling that he was going to fold to the third bullet on the river, lucky for me he did. i also limped pre-flop because he calls everything pre-flop and calls a lot post-flop.

What range of hands did you put him on that c/c's the first two bullets? You're repping a fh on the river - zeebo's theorem says people very rarely fold a fh - this isn't a spot I'd fire a third time.

Why call pf? If you're going to play this hand, why not raise?

I'm in two minds about the third barrell - on one hand, a big chunk of the hands that will check-call you on the flop and turn are straight or flush draws that have now missed. On the other hand, the other big chunk of hands that will check-call you down are medium pairs which have now made a full house and you've got no hope of folding them out.

My bigger problems are with the rest of the hand though - first of all I'm not sure why we limped preflop. Sly said it, is there any reason we limped rather than raising? Note that raising makes it easier for us to represent strength on later streets, something which is key if we're going to be three-barrelling.

On the flop, only betting 60 is giving the villain close to correct odds to call you with a flush / straight draw or to hang around with some other marginal hand. If you're going to bet the flop, make it somewhere more around the 75-80 mark.

No way IMO, I've seen guys call with Q high on this board at this level so I think you should shut it down.
