**Going Deeper in a Tournament** ADVICE
I've been playing poker for about 6 months now. I used Bovada
all the way up until this pasted Friday. At which time I decided to play on Bovada, Carbon, And Black Chip. I've learned a lot over the past 6 months on Bovada including Micro Payouts and a WIN. The win came on a $1 buy in to a beginners tournament. 1st place was $45. I was excited lol... HOWEVER, I stopped playing tournaments that small. I feel I have learned enough to go bigger and also It felt a little to easy.
Over the weekend I had my first break through. Since my beginners tournament win, I had not made it into pay out positions in a while. After opening a account with Carbon and Black Chip (this past weekend) I literally played 8 Tournaments Friday Through Sunday (no multi table, just one at a time). Out of them 8 Tournaments I finished in the bottom field of the payout positions. 8 out of 8 tournaments I cashed out for at least double my buy in. All Tournaments were $1,000 GTD. What I want to do now is go deeper into the tournament and possibly make a final table (first one since my beginner tourney). My style is, play solid good hands only to start. Bet when the time is right, and build chips. I play tight but smart. Once all "non-paying" positions are eliminated I tend to loosen a little because I'm in the money. However, I'm at 20,000 to 40,000 chips and 1st through 10th are around 80,000+ chips. How do I climb up? Is it something I'm doing at the start of the Tourny? Or Should I change Something after the Bubble Breaks?
