I am planning to be at Cherokee this Thursday to play in the opening event of the wsop Circuit stop. My plan is to play event No. 1, which is a two-day event that would end Friday afternoon. If I get knocked out of that early enough, I may play in the nightly $10k tourney for $135, or either save that and try to satellite into event No. 2 on Friday morning. Event No. 2 is the four-flight re-entry tourney that drew almost 3,000 runners last year. I'd love to play that one again, but I have to check the schedule first and make sure that the second day of play starts on Sunday and not Saturday, because I have to drive home Friday night so I can coach two soccer teams on Saturday, then I'd have to drive back up to Cherokee (5 hours each way) on Sunday for Day 2. But if I could make it to Day 2 of that tourney, it'd sure be worth it.

If anybody else is going to be there, let me know. I'll be sporting a CC t-shirt and/or hat and playing with my lucky CC card protector.

Am in event 1. Made it through 9th level but it's been a struggle. Getting very few hands to play. Have about 20 BBs when we start back. 190 left and 54 make money. Gonna need a double up soon.

Made it to the dinner break with about 35k. Still not getting much to okay but hanging on. Down to around 100 players. Gonna try for a double up soon.

Bubble time. On break with 66k. Chipped up slowly. Frittered away 8k when I should have folded. Hand for hand after break.

Wow. Just checked the final stats for day 1. The guy who is leading is a guy that went all-in against me. I had A-9 in the BB and he shoved with about 35k. I had about 90k so I called and he flipped over K-7. He flopped a K and a 7. I heard him say later that he had won 9 straight all-ins. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.

I was there from Saturday 16th until Friday 2nd. Played the Seniors on the 17th and the Monster Stack on the 20th. Didn't cash in either.
However when I was moved to table 63, I believe there was another CCer in Seat 10. Didn't realize it until I saw him at the bottom of the escalator wearing a CC hoodie. A group was engrossed in conversation, so I didn't interrupt.
