Last night I played PLO tournament live..
I keep telling myself my action was not too good especially nuts on the river.
Here's the hand:
Heads-up, no raise prelop,
I'm out of position!
I got As, Ks in my hole cards
My heads-up opponent got J,J in his hole cards
Flop: Qs, Js, 7d
Me, first to act bet 1,700 on the flop with 45,000 stack..
250/500 blinds
He reraised to 3,700 with 39,000 stack..
I just flat call 3,700
Turn: Jc
I check the turn ( Qs, Js, 7d, Jc)
He bet 4,000 and I just flat call 4K
River: I was shock when 10s[emoji7] on the river.. ( Qs, Js, 7d, Jc, 10s)
I don't know what to do I double-check my 4 hole cards and make it sure I really got a Royal flush..
Me 1st to act on the river, I check!!!!
He bet 10K coz he is quads..
Me: Hollywood counting my chipstack, I pretend holding 10K chips to throw in the border line lol..acting it was a crying call..
Me: asking him "Are you full-house already"?
He don't answer,
And I decide to say all-in!!
Hoping he thought I tried to bluff him.
I said All-in! And he snap call!
And he declare first and said Quads!!!
And I humbly showed my Royal flush!
Until now I can't sleep lol..with that hand..
What if he don't bet on the river
I think I'm just lucky he got quads and I really feel bad my check on the river first to act..

Greetings.

I believe you make the right move on the river (nonetheless the hand would be played by himself) but let's say we don't know he had the virtual nuts.
In that kind of heavy wet board for plo, you have to think; with what range the villain is re raising in you on the flop? And what range he is betting you on the turn?
My first thought is that he has some combo draws of flushes, sets, straight and maybe exactly QJxx. But on the turn bet we can eliminate some of the hands like flushes and straights because he will check it back those hands.Imo his range is reducing to boats like QQxx,QJXX maybe 77xx(but that hand will probably check it back on turn) and quads JJxx. So according of the action on the turn he is very likely of him holding boats and the one combo of quads. So the check on the river by you was correct.

Or maybe not, I don't play plo.Just like to analyze hands :D

Good luck at the tables!!!

Great check on the river. He was telling a story that he has a fullhouse or better, so while he might not raise your river bet, he will for sure call your check-raise. Also there's a small possibility that he was bluffing all the way, so by checking you also let him hang himself.

It was good check becouse with reraiseing the flop he probbly hit the flop(set or two pair) and wants to chase away or get value from a drew, jack on the turn most likley improves him to fullhouse(here to four of a kind lol) so when a spade hit the river its good check becouse boat will value bet for sure and if you lead not nuts boat could just call bet becouse its PLO . .nice hand man

you without a doubt made right play as for him to be able to call on river he will usually have a betting hand with the action seems he would almost for sure turned a boat like lets say queens full makes lots of sense he raises flop as its very draw heavy then sizes turn small to provide you equity to call then river he trying to extract value most times in outer situations he will have little equity and alot of time will want to fire bluff these are something that you want to keep in peoples ranges so check river induces value bets and bluff to fire once then we can reraise check back is ton hands that won't call a bet so we are losing very little to no value in these spots but when he has value like 10 10 QQ JJ JQ he is definetly firing that barrell and the way he played hand those are only hands make sense maybe nit checks back tens but likely fires one for those when you raise mostly likely hero fold those now QQ JJ JQ will likely look you up on river almost every time so your check raise although looks strong is best way to get value now this hand is just sick cooler but in general this is best line you can take by far
