So,,,, does anyone have any tactics for gaining a stack after just passing the bubble. I currently have just under 75% of the ave chip stack and around 12 BB's , M of 7ish. I dont want to be shoving anything and want a realistic chance of FT'ing.
Cheers,
Ben

You can`t expect to avoid all-in confrontations when your M is that low, Ben. In fact, you should be looking for spots to get your stack in the middle whenever you have a promising hand. You need to double up in order to be an FT contender.

Typically, good tourney regs. don't like having their stack drop below 30bb's.... and are willing to resteal ship pretty wide in an effort to keep it that way.
with 12bb's you have no fold equity even on a resteal shove... and if in vs. a reg. (& if they think you're a reg.), you'll get called fairly wide when you do shove with only 12bb's (because you 'should' be shoving real wide with a stack of that size). Will regs. adjust if they believe you're a random?... probably but maybe not by alot.

tactics -> put the pile in.... then put it in again... & again.
If there's a raise ahead of me I'm shipping 87s, T-9, Q9s stuff in hopes of getting a bit of a stack.

'promising' < not sure what this means? I'd suggest shipping with much less than what I'd consider to be 'promising'.

It depends in your position and on any action ahead of you but (as you said yourself) a pretty wide range. I would certainly be happy to consider getting them in with any Ace, any King, any pair, suited connectors, etc.
