anyone else play these? just found them yesterday, i was down to 7$ bankroll on fulltilt after playing rush poker, so i thought i will play some heads up, bust them or double them, and i found these super turbo heads up, where you start with 300 chips. basically it is almost like flipping, most of the time you will find yourself in a 60-40 or a 55-45 % situations.

i must have played like 25, maybe more, and i am up 13$

if anyone else plays these, maybe we can talk some strategy, personally i like going all in preflop with a decent hand, at least K high or a pair, any A high is a must go all in, sometimes when i am really low on chips i would go all in with 2 suited connectors, 89 of hearts lets say, would be pretty good vs an A rag unsuited, almost a coin flip, 47% for 89.

waiting for your thoughts on this, how to get on the better side of the flip.

doubt theres many decent players playing these, you should clean up, by shoving often with decent holdings.

UPDATE: i have been playing more, about 10 games or so, currently up another 6$. seems like showing with Kx Ax any pocket pair any 2 face cards works. a lot of people calling with 910 j2, often i lose, but in tons of games i win due to shoving with a better hand.

btw i never call the SB. fold or shove mode.

The game is based mostly on luck, shoving any pair is risky, its about the position of when to shove and fold, calling UTG is asking for trouble, you either all in or fold. Reading some tips on the net, SUP turbo also involves skills if played correctly and will profit over time.

lol sounds like the lottery, besides isn't there a huge ammount of rake involved in those games? Personally I think it's better just placing your money on red and praying.

played 80 games and i am up 7$.

What stakes is that btw?

2.10$ is the rake.

btw i had 22$, decided to play, simply lost vs 1 guy 10 times in a row, i didnt expect the swings to be so high, but i simply lost 10 in a row vs a dude, 8 times i got my money in good, 8 times i lost, twice i got my money in bad, lost both.

lost with JJ vs Q8, QQ vs A7, A10 vs K8 and much more. just sick, every single time he spiked in on the the river.

EDIT: didn't want to give up playing vs that guy, he was simply just too lucky so i thought it will turn around, i went broke, but its not like i had a fortune.

sounds a bit like when I first played them and went 3-37 against one guy in the span of about a half hour.

you went what? whats that 3-37?

anyway i am not complaining about losing 10 game in a row. i did not use proper bankroll management. i play mostly on pokerstars where i have way more money, on fulltilt i transfered 10 $ with the thought of playing rush. at a point i was up to 45$, and when the variance kept up with me my bankroll could not take.

so use proper bankroll managed kinds.

I guess the rake isn't too high then, but that's for normal HU games. If you Flip as a small favorite like 2/3 of the time and as an underdog the rest then you can't expect big profit from those games. I mean it's different than getting your stack from 1500 to 2000 against a nitfish just by raising. A turbo game isn't that skill based so you can expect 20 buying swings like in cash games with a small edge.

But yeah if you were playing a fish, you have to keep going. Even if he declines the rematch that one win is justified. But watch out for tilt, it can be a killer to your already small bankroll.

keep up the hard work ;)
advice though if your playing on ftp. after a few losses call it a night and refresh the mind and start a fresh new day. as long as you do this you will play better knowing if you lose you gotta wait another day. its a good strategy. 20% loss of bankroll is normally an early night for me. stick to this see how you do!!
