OK so I'm about an hour and a half into this tourny on full tilt and I want to see how you guys approach this game.

So far the level of play looks almost like a freeroll. A lot shoves and then quick rebuys, and then they go ahead and shove some more.

Now that rebuys are finally over should the level of play in this tourny change at all.

Also I'm sitting in around 250th out of the 1100 who are left with 9000 in chips and what should I look to do in order to make a a deeper run in this tourny.

I outlasted you today, 555, guy hit his flush draw to knock me out.
I don't deposite money online, for various reasons, so the cash situation is tight; there is no re-buying for me. I play the re-buy period cautiously, trying to make as much as I can while their tossing around their money. After the re-buy I let the stack dictate how I play, along with those around me. For the most part I'm middle of the pack and generally have to play very cautiously. Everytime I try to open it up at full-tilt I get my ass handed to me. That, and I lose the majority of all-in situations - I doubled up the same guy five times today, someone else had to kill him. So, yeah, I have to play exceptionally tight or I'm out fast; kind of depressing when you see it in writing...

I have two cashes in about five or six games, no final table though, which I would love so I could play something else. Goodluck!!!

This tourney is very much like a freeroll all the way. The time I won it there was just one guy taking the fight at the end, and he wasnt really that good. He managed to get 2nd.

I play the same way. I just try to make it past the rebuy period and then go from there. I was in good position today, but lost it all on a stupid hand.

Thanks for the advice

These micro mtt rebuys play exactly like freerolls, even looser actually because they can rebuy.

I never rebuy in these unless it's early and it was a really bad beat and not just a bad read or call on my part; and I don't add on unless I'm in good position to cash at that point.

All those loose agro players who are rebuy crazy are the reason you won't have to rebuy if you play like a rock. Let them build the prize pot, not you. Just like any mtt though, you'll have to get lucky once or twice to make the big money--best you can do is minimize your risk by not getting your chips in behind.

play very very tight. wait for top 10 hands. then slow play it. perhaps some donks would make u go all in pre-flop. even better for u :):)

I approach these micro MTT rebuys like I would a freeroll except that they can rebuy. Yes you play them tight during the rebuy period and then afterwards you can play them according to your M factor and other players on the table. I don't rebuy into these either as in the begining it's a real donk fest.
