Hey gang

This will come up very rarely but happened to me the other day and not happy with how I played it. Interested on what you would do.

MTT: roughly 80 people from min cashing. Average stack size, I could easily limp into a min cash by folding every hand.

Hero: A 8o

2 other players to the flop. All have roughly the same stack size. Villain 1 pre-flop 3 x raised, hero and villain 2 flat called.

Flop: KKK

1st person checks.

What do you do?

I think a 1/2 pot size bet doesn't hurt here because there are a lot of positives that can come out of it. There's really only one card that has the nuts here and chances are in your favor that nobody is holding a king. However if Villain 1 were to call he probably has a decent pocket pair maybe 9-9 to Q-Q could possibly have something like A-Q as well that he'd call with. I think more than likely in this situation if your play at the table has been somewhat tight and you haven't gotten caught bluffing an outrageous amount then you more than likely can get both to lay down in that situation and steal a pot.

Probably 3Bet - folding here is the greatest option as you probably have the nuts in this situation but if you do get raised the opponent might have pocket pairs which you will lose to unless you get lucky and hit the A's on the turn/river.

Need more information!

Where did you call from, what position are we acting from.

If we are in position and checked to I would make a very small bet (30%), otherwise I would check.

Also i would fold this pre from vs aggressiom any position thats not the big blind.

I would say check to open 1 more card, and then on the game.

I think there is a difficult situation. You must think very good and there are somethings to pay attetion, like:
Position. I guess villain 1, hero and villain 2 is the order to talk. You could make a bet to get some idea of what villains have, maybe 1/2pot. If someone call or raise you should get caution, could not be a king but maybe a high pair. Your kicker is not quite good and have to wait turn to get an A.
The way they have played before. If villain 1 who 3x raised preflop is a tight player who just plays the best of his range probably is leading the hand and has a monster hand. He probably check/raise and will check/call if has K.
Is the same situation if villain 2 calls o raises the difference is that he is IP and migth think you are in a bluff.
If you really wanted to win this pot (your reasons) had to think all that, if it doesn't matter just fold and don't get into a difficult situation and wait for another flop with a better situation to you.
I guess in online poker what makes difference between the good vs bad players is that good player always think first before click the button call/raise.

So the really question is what would i have done? I would have checked and if villain 2 bet before turn i would have fold.

Once happened the same to me but with QQQ i had A9s with 3 villains. I was IP villain 1UTG dunk villain2 Raised Villain 3 fold Hero fold Villain 1 all in villain 2 call. The turn bring A and River A. The just checked. Show cards 22/ 55. Wanted to hang myself LOL. i had been just seated in the table and didn´t had information about those players and i don´t have a software that shows it.

I really would like if you tell how the hand ended.

Sorry for my English

As they say, the endlessness of number 1 in the king will be obligatory, so that it will be better to pass

I don't get into these situations because I am a tight player and don't call a 3X before with A8o unless there is a really good situational reason to.

That being said on the flop there is a chance you are already drawing dead to a K. We cant always play afraid of quads but I have flopped quads more than a few times so it is possible and more possible because we can see a board with 3 kings out. Three kings is much worse to see than 3 5's in a pot that was raised pre. You have a weak ace in a pot that was raised pre flop so your opponents likely holdings are aces that are better than yours or pocket pairs. In fact you also have to worry about a hand behind you as well who not only called the same raise but a caller also. I am going to play with caution here.

What hands do you beat that you think your opponents have? JQ? A7 or lower? Are these reasonable to believe with the play you have seen from them?

Will both opponents fold to a bet if either one holds a pocket pair or AQ, AJ, AT? What if one has a pocket pair like 77, 88, 99 and the other has AJ?

To answer the question I believe most of the time I am behind in the hand to both players and every once in a while I am drawing dead. I check hoping to see a free card.

Fold pre flop. 3x raise usually means good pocket pair or AK.

I would be wondering if someone had the other King, I mean if you had it, wouldn't you check and hope to catch a ace or a queen on the turn or river and get some action? better to fold and lose a little that risk losing a lot.
