Aside from the basic deep stack tourney strategy, are there any other pieces of advice and/or experiences any Cardchat members would care to share with myself. It is my first time playing it (sattied from Step 1 to Step 5 and reg. for it) and I would greatly appreciate advice/experiences regarding the tournament. Thanks =)

Thanks =). Paid out around 520 I believe, perhaps next time.

Oh wow, I was figuring a 10 percent payout... you were really close, that sucks. You basically sattied in right? Even last would have been a good payday...

Difference from lower buyins probably that some people actually pay attention.
I dont have much experience, but one thing I thought about last time I played one of the big Sunday tourneys was that some of those internet pro's go a lot with their reads, and are not afraid to push if they think you are weak. So its usually a good idea to try to throw them off.

Thing is, the big Sunday tourneys (or namely the $750K & the SunMill).. have a TON of satellite players in them & a TON of donks (mixed in of course with a TON of the best online MTT regs.).
A suggestion albeit a bit late... I'd be checking their stats. to see who's who on the table (if you don't recognize the names).

my thoughts exactly! the sunday tourneys have a ton of sat. players in them that get in for ftp's and will push hard w/ nohting when you dont hit cus they dont care id play it like any other tourney i play online, play tight till the ante's try to trap the donks early to get more value for yer hands and b aggressive w/ more than around 40 big blinds when in position near the bubble

Yep, I sattied in via the Steps sngs, and I would have been fine with cashing last, but as with anyone I was still wishing for than "one time final table!" moment lol

Throw them off meaning 3bet or 4bet light? If so, could you explain please? I was playing a straightforward deepstack game personally, seemed to get me close, but not close enough.

Thank you, I figure that I should have done that during certain hands, appreciated.

Nice finish, the first bit of advice was the best though: "run good"

When it comes down to going deep, in most tourneys it always tends to hinge on the fact that youre running a little better than usual at some point in the game. Being able to use that to your advantage while still being attentive and careful and not king kong is what will take you the rest of the way.

Great finish dude. Next time you play it Im sure you will use the experience and go even deeper.

No, it has absolutely nothing to do with that.
Lets say you make a fast standard raise pre-flop and get called, and then follow up with a fast c-bet of about 3/4 pot.
Then what hand do you think they think that you have there and why?

Its those things that they will pick up on.
